[The dorms are about as quiet as the rest of the place, the only odd thing being that the lighting occasionally flickers, and then for just a moment, only mere seconds, the floor appears to be concrete, and the smell of bleach and other chemicals linger in the air.]

The scent fades away, but it comes back with the next flicker of the lights, as well as a directory appearing in the hall for a brief moment]

[the directory there is different, much like the proper school directory, but a few things crossed out. "The labs" is simply marked "Below us" and an unmarked part of the map reads "Home: away"]

[the only way to get to the labs seems to be on the staircases and in the elevator, when the light flickers there's additional options on both, going down deeper than in normal light.]

[The stairs have the same problem, appearing normal, but at each gutter of the light showing far more, going down seemingly endlessly and darkening the further it goes. When the normal stairs run out, the flickering light changes to the scene that was only shown in flashes, industrial construction, the occasional sound of machines, and the faint, distorted squeak of rats. The smell is back in full force, and it's pretty much identifiable now, Sulfur, bleach, gunpowder, blood, and oil.]

[Not in the stairs, no, (apart from the occasional splatter, but it's not much) but on the floor many stars down, there's the shimmer of something liquid.]
