Mummy forces 11-year-old Sherlock to socialise. When she comes to collect him from a sleepover party, she finds a Sherlock who's actually enjoying himself. Also, a frightened cat, a scientific experiment, three crying classmates, and an eight-year-old girl named Molly who's madly in love.

Yeah, I don't either.

Yeah this is totally the first birthday party I went to as a kid... but instead of a cat, it was a chicken frightened by fireworks. And our science experiment ended up with me electrocuted because we decided to build a motor with magnets and 2 9v batteries, my future best friend thought it was funny to add me as part of the circuit using my eyeglasses while I was wearing them. The three classmates who were crying was because the chicken attacked them when we were trying to put it back in her pen. It was funny because the mom who planned the party decided to invite all the kids the teachers said were dangerous loners. But the five of us became good friends to this very day, but we are still not allowed at that house as group.

OP, I tried my best to suit your wishes, but I fell two crying kids short and I know you asked for 11-year old Sherlock, but I don’t really know how an 11-year old behaves, so this Sherlock might be more close to 7 or 8 than an 11-year old (and Molly is still younger, of course). Other than that, I really hope you like it!

(Mrs. Holmes POV, sort of)

She had been worried, to say the least, when she dropped him off at the sleepover party. She still couldn’t decide if she was worried for her son or for the other kids, though.

Sherlock was being impossible, as usual, trying very hard to push every button of hers in his haste effort to not go.

“If you make me go, I’ll die!”

“Don’t be dramatic, it doesn’t suit you.”

“How would you know?!” He gave her a sideways look that was supposed to freeze her in her tracks. Hardly, though, as she was already immune by overexposure.

“I’ve known you your whole life, I know”. Sherlock scoffed at that.

“I’ve known you my whole life and I know“Think long and hard before you finish that sentence, ( ... )

She shuts her eyes very hard and tries not to think about it so much. At least I haven’t got any calls from an angry parent, demanding me to go pick up my son, she thinks in attempt to calm herself. It’s been over an hour (closing down on two) since he dropped a very fidgety Sherlock at Frankie’s house. He had been nervous, she could tell, asking all sorts of questions about unrelated matters and then, very softly, “what if they don’t like me, or if they’re mean to me?”

“I doubt they’ll be mean to you if you treat them nicely. Just relax, you’ll have fun. When I talked with Frankie’s mum she said she had prepared a very fun evening for you guys, and Mr. Muller is an engineer, he worked on that bridge on route 68, did you know that? Maybe you’ll get to ask him about it, I know how much you love bridges”.

“It all depends on her definition of what fun is”. Typical Sherlock, ignoring all the potential of a situation and going straight for what could go wrong; she didn’t give him the time to sulk, though ( ... )

Oh, no then :(
For a second there, I was excited about this being some kind of RL crossover, featuring Stephen Fry as Mycroft's friend XD
...you know, Stephen Fry, aka the guy who'll play Mycroft in RDJ!Sherlock Holmes this year...? I just found the menta image quite hilarious :)

I did not know that!! THE Fry is playing Mycroft! O.O! that's brilliant!

I never intended to make a meta-comment on Sherlock (in any of its presentations), but I did choose the name Stephen because I love Stephen Fry and Stephen Hawking. So there :)

I know, right?! :'D No one could be possibly better suitable than Fry... AND Gatiss.

Oh, I see. Fair enough. :)

When she approached the door of the Mullers, she must accept that she did so with a hint of trepidation. The general state of the front yard didn’t let much to be deduced, but she knew better than to let herself be led to a false sense of security, Sherlock had a reputation in his last school, a reputation she was fighting really hard to erase. She rang the bell and steeled herself, just in case. The door was opened by a tired Mrs. Muller (more like exhausted Mrs. Muller). This did not bode well ( ... )
