It's been awhile!

Things have been hectic lately, so I failed to notice that once again Ted has used my journal to prop up the short leg of our kitchen table. I feel so bad when I neglect this book because so much has changed in all of your lives or you yourselves have changed, and I don't know where to pick up the threads. I hope that you're all doing well, though ( Read more... )

I laughed so hard I fell out of my seat when I read the 'two Knuts to rub together' part. I wouldn't have told you that, but I sort of broke that clay thing you were working on during the fall. (It's either an ashtray or a really squattish vase?) Sorry about that!

Firstly, that double-entendre was hardly funny. Secondly, it was a first attempt! I was trying to make a flowerpot, but the clay kept on collapsing so it became some sort of drink coaster.

Aww! My return to this journal would not have been complete without a snide comment from you, Narcissa. Thank you for that.

Congratulations on the job, Andromeda! And you won't believe the outfit Angie has picked out for Patrick once I told her about Nympha's birthday party; a little sailor. All he needs is a matching flask and he is good to go!

Tell her I think that's the most adorable idea ever, but I have a few reservations on the flask because Ted'll try to one-up you and get Patrick a rub-on tattoo of a half naked lady or something as equally tasteful.

One of these days, I could leave Ted with the Nympha and we could go do something together? I've been missing you for months! What are you doing? How are you doing? I was going to send Onomatopoeia with a letter after you left school, but she got in a fight with another owl and injured her wing.

At least the owl breeding is still good. If I'm still living after today, I'll take you out for a real date, all right?

I wouldn't mind having owlets around the house! And that's a rather ominous thing to say, but I'll be taking you up on that offer.
