The Andi Report

Ted tells me I should update this thing. I've been so busy with learning about the baby obsessing about weight gain studying that it somehow didn't seem important. But I realise that I've missed out on some important things... things that could impact my family, so here goes ( Read more... )

A homemaker? My Andi? Hahaha! Do you know how to use an oven? Have you ever touched a mop before?

Don't be stupid. That's what the house-elf is for. A homemaker oversees the running of the household and looks after the children.

Children? House-elf? You're something else, Andi. We'd be lucky to have a place large enough for all three of us to fit in.

Well, I'm speaking in general terms, Ted. This is what a homemaker does. I'm not saying I plan to personally have heaps of children immediately. No one knows about the baby, do they? Oh, Merlin, I was hoping the loose robes and Glamours were working...

And naturally one needs a house-elf. Who else will keep the place tidy and make supper?

Andi, I also love you and all that, but if you act like you know the half of what happened- you can forget it, okay?

You're right. I don't know. Feel free to set the record straight. Perhaps you might have come to talk to me about it, rather than letting me hear about it second and third-hand. Why does everyone do that to me?

Anyway, I doubt that McGonnagall made up the fact that you tried to hurt Severus, so I believe my objection stands.

Well you're never around and I am NOT going to the Slytherin dorms so that pretty much narrows out my chance of ever seeing you. Though I'll sodding come down there now, because I'm so sick of being surrounded by the berk I am Forever Indebted To (James) the Berk Who's Just Thick (Peter) and the Berk Who Will Never Speak to Me Again and good RIDDANCE because he's just a prat anyhow and I don't see why the either of us were mates to begin with if all he thinks i do it just use him oh, what a NOVELTY he is, fucking hell could I come talk to you?

I can be around. Oh, dear. It does sound like you need to talk. Did you and Remus have a fight? Mind you, I'm still angry at you, but you know I'm always here if you need me. We don't even have to meet in the dungeons if you would prefer somewhere else.

Why dear Andromeda, just what is true?

I doubt mother 'owns' Professor Jigger because if she did she would have had to have sold him back at this point, as isn't father the one who oversees finances? Additionally, I imagine that mother would be thrilled at the idea of you being a homemaker. Too many girls these days are ready to fling themselves out on the frontlines and waste away without ever really contributing to society. Of course, homemaking isn't quite something that one just enters upon leaving school, so I imagine father or Uncle Black could get you a nice job in the Ministry before they you find a suitable match for yourself.

And while I agree that Sirius can be, and mostly is, absolutely horrid he does not compromise our entire family.

Narcissa. Er... there you are. I was just saying that Sirius was quite right that the family would not be happy to have him turn up on the doorstep after he quite rightly got himself out of there once already.

And of course she doesn't actually own him... one may only own house-elves. But he seemed very concerned about making certain that I towed the family line. Anyway, I don't want a nice job in the Ministry, dear sister, so you can have mine, all right? I'll make due on my own just fine, I'm sure. But I doubt I'll be following Mother's stellar example of child-rearing, thanks. Anyway, I rather think I've found a suitable match, so sitting at the Ministry waiting for one will be wholly unnecessary. Perhaps you'll have better luck there?

I wasn't referring just to Sirius. Yes, he can be quite taxing at times.

Missed you, Andi. We haven't talked in...seems like ages, and I'd love some female company for a bit of variety. *grin* We should really get together sometime. When would be best for you?

Yes, we really should. I hope everything is well with you and Gideon? I should have some free time after classes this week. I'm a bit tired of studying non-stop.
