Seriously, may take three posts, but you deserve it since it took me so long to reply.

They’ll never live together again, not like this, so they make an actual effort to spend as much time with each other as possible.

I think about this every time I go home for holidays - especially Christmas - and it’s about the only time I really miss being a teenager.

This line makes me laugh every single time I read it.

Damon looks like he’s about to start handing out orders, and if she didn’t think he’d follow, she’d turn and leave, too.

Oh, Elena knows Damon so well. :D

Stefan had always seemed to be there whenever she’d turned to him, ready to take her back and try again.

You make this sound really…mature - like Stefan is really a pretty well-adjusted individual and all I can think of is his hissy fit when he found out about Damon and Elena sleeping together. Heh. He’s such a tool. Seeing your version on the show would be a breath of fresh air - and just as in character, imo.

All things considered, I’d call that a success for Elena. I mean, come on. We all know what Damon looks like in a suit.

The ironic thing about this line is that it’s something Caroline would say right now…and mean the dirty skank part. :/

But it’s not what she wants. Not right now. There’s so many things she still wants to do, see, know, learn--and while she knows she could do all that with Damon by her side, it wouldn’t be the same.
