Ah, a timeless classic no doubt.

Congratulations on the dissertation!

Apparently. One that requires repeated viewings to appreciate the subtle nuances.

Thank you! I need a drink.

Hurrah to finishing dissertation!

And 80s fashion must be stopped. Leggings are on one's friend.

Hurrah!!!

Yes. I mean seriously, isn't it only yesterday that everyone stopped wearing choose life t-shirts and leg warmers?

Yes, dissertation nailed, well done, must be satisfying.
It's shocking when some of the clothes it seems you only just threw away are now retro fashions sported by the youth. And those fuckin haircuts, jeez.
Pictures, hurrah. But where are they?

The haircuts - frightful. I sported some godawful hairdo back in the day with a hideous feathered fringe. That look should never be revisited, by anyone. Ever.

In the 80s I tried to model my look on Bernard Sumner from New Order. But people said I looked like Rick Astley, dammit.

Now for that - I really would have to see pictures! I always thought Rick Astley sounded a bit like Kermit the Frog when he sang..

I can't think of when I last went to anywhere, you know, fashionable. We're, you know, painfully relaxed and civilised in Cambridge. I'm not sure it's good.

Except, of course, for one guy who used to work in my old office. Who I think may still be in prison for his downloads.

Oh, I once had to get a dissertation bound. Never again.

I really don't much like going out to anywhere fashionable - give me an old mans pub any day of the week and I'd be much more content.

I love Cambridge, no Bloomsbury Bowling lanes there - how lucky you are.
Oooh - prison for downloads, that's much more scandalous, but also remarkably unsettling.

I'm now attempting to have a kinda normal life for about a week or so - as much as that is really possible. Which, for me, just doesn't really even approximate the civilised leisurely pace of most other people.

I can post my snow pictures - but I only got as far as my back garden and I take pretty shit photos, so I was trying to save you from the mundane and boring.
