I was talking about this with quizcustodet today..  I think it's really odd that banks still ask you your mother's maiden name as a security question.  Surely, for a fair number of people, this is not an especially secure question?  If your parents weren't married and you have your mother's name..  If your parents were married and your mother didn't change her ( Read more... )

I'm very confused about the whole Georgia and Russia thing.  The TV news that I saw while on holiday seemed to be unequivocally blaming Russia for the most part with a bit of nuance only arriving a few days after the story broke.  But, on the face of it, it doesn't seem to be that clear-cut to me.  I'm also confused about the fact that everyone ( Read more... )

Got this from the Etiquette Hell forums, it's a google cache of possibly the most ill-mannered thing I've ever seen on a wedding website. 

I remember talking about this song with dextress and, I think, mirabehn as well, and it just came up on media player so I thought I'd post the lyrics. It's an absolutely glorious song by Chumbawamba taking the piss out of MySpace (and, to a lesser extent, things like Facebook too).
