I'm about to go to the airport to join 11 other teachers to fly to Washington D.C. for the Model Schools Conference, which starts Saturday evening. We'll be staying at the Washington Hilton for 6 nights. The Fourth is the last day of the conference, and it's a half day, so we will be seeing some spectacular fireworks, I hope and expect. How much do I love computers and the Internet? This will be my summer of books and learning how to use computers to teach my students. In following the links from friends' postings I discover so many fabulous things. No wonder people surf the web.

Dennis left yesterday evening at 7:30 for Maui with 4 crew members while I was at school at a meeting for parents and students about the AP classes for next year. We all had to speak to a couple of hundred parents and students as a group and then to our subject area to meet people and answer questions. It was a positive experience for me. I had to buy things for the English dept at school, and after asking our tech about some laptops to buy, she told me she had a couple of MacBooks and I coule play with one a bit.
