My hands smell of onions, cheese and soap. Its very disconcerting, I associate the smell from making hamburgers and so have been craving them all day. Perhaps I'll make some at the weekend, though previous attempts tell me that they aren't the same unless cooked on a bbq, but still it is better than nothing I suppose ( Read more... )

something that has been bothering me:
when I run outside my shoe laces always come undone within 3 minutes of my starting but when I run on a running machine I don't have any shoe lace issues.
any explanation? Does this only happen to me?

I've lost all my photos from the end of the inca trail and maccu pichu. Does anyone know how to recover the images from my camera, or have any tips for dealing with the dodgy CD (I can see about 1/3 of the photos and then the computer freezes and gets all upset until the disc is taken out). Sorry for the delay in the updating, since I've been back things have been fairly crazy. I arrived in oxford last week and at the moment I'm halfway through freshers week. I've just got back from first year dinner, I'll get my act together and write a proper update sometime in the next week (ish).

My taxi for the airport is coming in an hour. I should go and sort my stuff out before it leaves, especially as I'm not 100% sure how to get back to the hostel and I don't really want to get a cab, the public transport is much more fun. Will do a proper update sometime when I get back. If its not up in a couple of weeks start hassling me.

Have just got back from the Colca Canyon. The canyon itself wasn't what I imagined, since it was alot less steep than the grand canyon. The scenery was spectacular, the terraces dotted all over the valley/ canyon were beautiful and made the whole area seem much more fertile than other regions at the same height in peru and bolivia. So I'm trying to burn a cd with all my photos of the inca trail. At the moment I'm having some problems with my cd, the computer is having some problems writing them onto it.
