I've been working on a sculpture project that involves candy bars (snickers, to be precise) cast in iron with text on the bottom. I'm really interested in getting them back into wrappers and stocking a vending machine with them. Can you imagine buying a candy bar that weighs about a pound? The clunk as it fall! The calls into Snickers asking

what you can do is leave the snickers bar at the bottom of the vending machine, you can easily put it there, and wait for some person to pick it up, watch the confusion.

this idea reminds be a bit of the england terrorist artist who would slip in his secret products to unsuspecting buyers, like the people who bought Paris Hilton's new single, Only to get a completely different cd.

I also question the "f you" comment on the back. It works well as shock value, but it seems more of something highschool seniors would do as their senior prank.

I won't fret though, i probably won't ever see any of this since i don't go to vending machines!

that guy is crazy cool. we talked about him in renaissance art history. he's not a terrorist artist, he's a graffiti artist. He went to Palestine/Israel and painted these realistic images of landscapes on the wall between Israel and Palestine, with a little girl flying over the wall with a handfull of balloons. He also put a dummy version of one of the tortured victems at Abu Ghiraib in a theme park...Disney I think. It was there for 12 hours or something before anyone noticed. Fucking brilliant. This is what Rushkoff was talking about, my friends. Pokin at ya pokin at ya. (thats the original snickers slogan, I think.)
