Yesterday I stopped on my way home from work and watched the swans. From where I was standing, the swan in its nest was all curving, almost prehensile neck - even the sliver of body seemed to be more neck in a coil, like it was some sort of freaky-deaky swan snake. Nature can seem so alien.

The whisky conundrum resolved itself, somehow - no thanks to text-messaging - I am such a damn Luddite - and there was Japanese whisky for all! Er, or at least for mackensen and me. Two more days to Virginia! I'm so excited!

My cellphone has the string "Omnmommoon" pre-programmed in it. "Omnomnomnom" would be one thing, but wtf is "Omnmommoon"?

What words do you have trouble spelling? Two of mine are rhythm and calendar. Calendar always takes me an extra moment - I start to type "calander," and I have to consciously swap the a and e.
