As one of my birthday presents, Paul got me cake decorating class... which has made me want to run a bakery for a living. Boo for this economy; that's not going to happen any time soon, but here's the two cakes I've made so far.

Ugh, I'm home sick today- I think I have stomach flu or something similar. :(

I miss when calling in sick meant sleeping and watching tv instead of being logged into company email/IM/etc. Oh well, I guess why I make the proverbial big bucks.

I am tired and kind of sad tomorrow is Monday already- I would love another round of Labor Day weekend.

And through a set of bizarre and bummer circumstances (not for me, but still), Paul and I getting a bigger room. This is cool, although will probably negate all the effort I've been putting into down-sizing and try to be a minimalist.

It took me 2 hours, 20 minutes to get home today. For a point of reference, I work 20 miles away from my home and it normally takes me 45 minutes ( Read more... )

LA is insane. I waited for in line at the gas station for 10-15 mins to fill up. I think people were so excited that station was under $4 that everyone and their mother was there.

Fun work update: I'm in charge of looking for an intern. Exciting!

Soul Caliber IV came out today, but is up with the weak story mode? I mean, granted, you don't really play Soul Caliber for the story, but everything is exactly the same except for each character's final scene.
