I generally answer any questions put to me by my kids. If Cosmo or even Mongasika asked me what a virgin was, I'd explain it factually "A person who has not had sex yet."

Maybe I'm just strange but I think making Sex a taboo is doing your kids a disservice.

Well, you're strange anyway. After all, do you still own a pair of fishnets from your Rocky Horror days?

I never owned fishnets. I did borrow a teddy once.

There is nothing wrong with owning fishnets from Rocky Horror days long past. Especially if they still fit.

I try to be as honest as I can, within the limits of my children's ability to understand.

I'm armed to answer this and will likely be as forthright as Speaks. Of course, the next obvious question is, "What is sex?"

That answer, I'm still working on.

I think I said "Its a special way of touching adults who love each other very much do." I think that satisified Erin. Katherine hasn't shown much curiosity yet.

ahhh I remember when "When I think of you I touch myself" was a big hit on Power 99, I distinctly remember singing it whilst helping my mother do laundry, and I paused and said... momma, what the heck does that mean? I touched my shoulder and said... "OOOooooh im touching myself... " it just seems like a stupid thing to write a song about.

My mother's eyes about popped out of her head and she asked me where I heard that song and promptly told me I was never allowed to listen to Power 99 ever again. she "fumbled" around for an answer, but I remember being more confused afterward than I was when I came into the conversation.

I recommend Warmachine!

What? It's a tabletop game. It perfectly meets your requirements.

(Okay, okay, it really doesn't meet your requirements. I just enjoy Warmachine and had nothing better to suggest. Also, I have been painting my sadly-neglected-for-six-or-eight-months models for the last couple weeks, and making progress feels good.)

So...there. Take that.
