Pictures from Capitol Forest!

Capitol Forest was pretty sweet. We did a 5-mile loop, then a 6-mile (each way) climb up to Capitol Peak. I was going so fast on the way down that my disc brakes on my bike turned blue. I'll post pictures soon.

So I got to hang out with MxPx tonight. They were shooting a video for their new song 'Breathe Deep' in the building we were practicing in. It was pretty sweet. We were just playing and Mike Herrera pops his head in the door and tells us to turn down a little because we were too loud. It was awesome. We went up and saw the set and all that. ( Read more... )

Mountain biking in Capitol Forest in the morning. Yes. Over 2000 feet of vertical climb. Heck yes.

Why do I like going uphill so much? I can't figure it out. I guess there's really nothing to figure out. It's just human nature. Go uphill, get to the top, feel accomplished, go downhill. Oh yes, and the downhill.

I'm looking forward to playing in Port Angeles on Friday. I would like to head over early, well before the show, and spend some time exploring and whatnot. Go to Swains. We'll see. I like being one of only two performers on stage. I feel shut out with three people in front of me when we do the full band thing. Weird times.
