Fml. Whenever I'm at the folks house I never get good sleep. I seem to turn it reflection to easily here, too much free time leads to too much thinking, and that distracts from sleep. Insomnia is becoming a running theme this week. At my apartment I could blame it on the holiday, or the game I was playing. Not so lucky here.

It's been a while, I think that's how most of my journals start. I'm still at best buy but working on the other side of the store in appliances. Public spaces in crowded public places
Why the fuck do people feel its perfectly okay to talk across an isle or across a table when other strangers are trying to relax or sleep. I hate people. Go in the cafe car and giggle like chipmunks to eachother. Damned humanity.

home for the weekend
went to the folks for the holiday weekend since i was lucky enough to get the eve off. we spent xmas eve at my folks house with my uncle and grandpa, and did a late-ish christmas lunch at their house. in the back of my head i kept hoping grandma would come out from her room. rougher than i thought it would be, but not a surprise given the past ( Read more... ) -
Work stories
A mom and her son came in looking for a pc for his birthday. He wanted it for sc 2, wow, eq 2, and then some fps's, so I showed him a few. Unfortunately we were out. 40 are coming in prob Friday, maybe Tuesday. And a dozen Friday already on the way. Not good enough, his birthday is Friday. They left wanting to think about it. Change is imminent, though not fast enough. Wearily I walk through the drudgery of the day thinking of the ways change could have, no, should have made a difference. Such is corporate life, change is from a suits perspective, not the peons. People who think we should do something special or make exceptions bases on their word versus the facts at hand need to realize they aren't that special. I hate retail and kids and all sorts of things right now

today was a beautiful day after so many rainy ones. we laid grandma to rest this morning, the sun was shining, that's a good sign i guess. it seems weird since her funeral was in January, but well, the logistics of frozen ground and snowfall in Syracuse area. apparently, according to my doc, what one of my new medication side effects calls flushing can cause redness and itching so that i want to tear my skin off and that it wouldn't be too much red(der) than the lobster tone i already was in. okay doc. you sure about that? whats your email, cause i wanna take a pic and let you see how red my face and ( Read more... )
