Dream Cruise
Went to Detroit's Woodward Avenue Dream Cruise today. If you're not familiar, it's a day when classic car collectors from all over converge on the Detroit area to show off their own and check out others. timing
I don't usually worry too much about time and when I get things done. I can always "reschedule." But timing can be so crucial on some occasions. We're scheduled to have some new chairs delivered today. Part of the plan was to dispose of a big ugly recliner. Hard to believe it's been a whole week since I've added anything to this journal. You'd think I had a million things to do. This was not the case. As some of you know I have been keeping up with your postings and making an occasional comment. I find myself with absolutely no plan for the day. That's not quite true, I do plan on meeting with some friends this evening. Other than that, the day is going to unfold as it wants. Seems like I must have been quite busy lately but with what I have to show for it, that's obviously not true. :-) Did get some more work done on the project to divide the basement into areas for different activities. I want to close off the woodworking area from everything else to prevent dust from settling everywhere. Also need to build some ( Read more... ) -
morning
I enjoy just sitting and listening to and watching the critters that frequent the yard, and enjoying the fruits of my garden tending. I stir the dirt in Spring, throw in a few seeds and the forces of nature and the universe take over and produce all these lovely images for me to meditate on. scones
Wendy and I finally got around to trying out a scone shop that opened in the neighborhood some time ago. At first it was just a small pastry shop but recently expanded to include delicious quiche (with a variety of fillings) to the menu. One of those days/nights -- woke early and couldn't get back to sleep so I decided to take the advice some of you mentioned and do a little writing again.
