For the poetry night, I am trying to become Mr. Murder Ballad, and read at least one of these types of pieces each time. The last time I did it, with a piece called 'The Ballad of Bloody McLee', the audience really got into it - mostly cuz I sang it with an appalachian accent and stomped my foot to an imaginary beat. Well the open-mic poetry reading has come and gone, and my dream was in no way prophetic. I met up with my old high school friends, and yes they spoke to me. It was fun. It was a good reading as well, about 5-6 people read for the open mic bit and 4 of us competed in the compitition. Look at me down there, testify!

In waking life, two of my friends, whom I used to attend high school with but have lost touch with since then, recontacted me and will be coming for the read as well.
