I had to try it...and after an hour and half I have succeeded in making an animated icon. I totally know how to do this now. :D So if anyone ever wants one, let me know.

And I have learned that the trick to making them stop (in case one runs into a screenful of comments using them, or finds them otherwise overwhelming) is to hit the Esc key. :->

That's good to know! I can't tell you how many times I wish I could turn it off when looking at communities and what not. It's brilliant really.

I won't try to Esc from sweet Morella. Unless you make, like, 20 comments using that icon and the page is about to crash my laptop.

The reason it took so long is that you need to make sure you convert your pictures to "gif's" whereas I had a bunch of jpegs that didn't want to save properly.

BUT if you do a "how to make animated icon" search, one or two come up that will do it for you with 4 images or less.
