I'm watching The Wire, one episode per day over lunch. Fabulous stuff, but it reminds me of The Bill when I first began watching that way way back. I need subtitles!

Reasonably happy
The not drinking thing is going fine. It's been a few weeks now and I've been drinking fruit juice and ginger ale in social situations. Not a big thing to give up, really, I wouldn't normally drink much anyway. Half a bottle of wine and a couple of bottles of beer or cider over a week ( Read more... ) -
Thinking time.
I do love a good time travel story. The paradoxes, the anachronisms, the weird situations. The possibilities are limitless. At the very least, if you have a time travel machine, just playing lotto is a guaranteed way to become super rich.
