MY NEW CAR
So 3 days ago, I took my 2000 Acura to the dealership to get an oil change, and for them to check out a transmission issue I was having. They informed me that I was going to have to replace the Transmission! That's $3500.00 after labor was added in ( Read more... ) -
Getting ready for the big move
So Heather and I get our new apartment in 3 days. I'm very excited about it, but there is so much to do. For starters, I've got to finish packing, and that will take some time. it's amazing what becomes entertaining when you're at a conference.
I'm in the 6th hour of a 2-day planning conference for our annual fundraising campaign. Out of left field, a cell phone rings, and our Endowment Director (who has a reputation for being a bit of a ditz) says "sorry everybody. I thought I cut that off." So I've tried to update several times, but I get a few lines into it, and I don't like what I've done so I quit. Not to mention that lately I've been using a new machine, and have had some changes but I'll get to that later. Heather returns tomorrow!
I'm very happy that Heather will be coming home tomorrow. She has been back in the Northeast to visit with family and friends. I know this trip home was important to her, and I'm glad she had the time to take it, but I'm really glad she'll be back tomorrow. I've missed her.
