I guess she's also opening for Xiu Xiu, who I'm also looking forward to seeing.. Their newest album is much better than Women as Lovers. Less saxophone, more DS.

Had a good weekend- got to see the Residents. They were one of those bands I had been hearing about for a long time, and always thought I would like. So I went to the show without really knowing what to expect, but it turned out to be really great. Unexpected benefit of getting a fancy DSLR to complement my compact camera: I no longer waste any time trying to get the compact to perform like a DSLR under the technically dubious lighting conditions I'm somehow attracted to, and can look at the images from the compact on their own terms.
