drabble - Nino
Her phone rings.
She glances at her cell phone screen and sees the name Ninomiya flashing.
She frowns and answers the call.
“Yes Mr Ninomiya what can I do for you? It’s my precious day off!”
“Is this Kanzaki Haru?”
The voice does not belong to Ninomiya.
“Hai Kanzaki desu. Who am I speaking to?”
“This is officer Matsushima from Meguro Police Station. Are you the personal assistant of Ninomiya Kazunari-san?”
She widens her eyes in surprise and her mental alarm starts ringing.
“Yes.”
“Good. We are calling to inform that Ninomiya-san was involved in a car accident earlier. He and the other party are currently at Meguro hospital right now and so we-“
“I’m coming.”
She ends the phone call abruptly, sends a message to Ohno, grabs her bag and speeds out of the house.

Haru enters the hospital and walks briskly towards the information counter.
After getting directions from the receptionist, she enters the lift and waits.
While waiting, various images of Ninomiya appears in her mind as she closes her eyes.
Please let him be fine.
She exits the lift, makes a left turn and sees an officer at the end of the hallway together with a man wearing a green tee and grey jeans.
She runs towards them and stops seconds later.
Ninomiya turns back and faces her.
He smiles as he raises his hand to wave.
The officer Matsushima takes down her particulars and explains the whole situation to her.
“I’ll excuse myself for a moment as I check on the other party.”
Matsushima bows and walks away.
Haru heaves a sigh of relief as she throws herself onto the chair and covers her face with both hands.
“I’m sorry.” Ninomiya says as he takes a deep breath and sits down beside her.
She remains silent.
Ninomiya glances at her and realizes that she’s crying.
He panics and squats down in front of her at once.
“What’s wrong?”
“I’m so glad you’re still in one piece. Baka.” She mumbles into her hands.
Ninomiya smirks and takes her hands away from her face.
“I think I still prefer your angry look when we argue.”
“NINOMIYA KAZUNA-“
He pulls her into his embrace and hugs her tightly.
“I’m sorry for making you worry.”
She cries harder as she relaxes herself onto his body and grabs his tee from behind.
Haru just cannot stay angry with Ninomiya for long.
