We got a call at 3am from Bryan's mother that his sister died. We are still in total shock. No idea why this happened. All I know is Bryan's mom left for work at 10:30pm. How awful and sad. I really feel for those children, how horrible. Children should not have to go through that. I wish all of you strength.

my Mom died very suddenly in October 2007, I know it can be a shock to the system. She had a cardiac episode in their bathroom getting ready for bed and was on the floor when my Dad got up in the morning. The bathroom is attached to their bedroom and he never heard anything and their dog never stirred. I hope they are able to tell Brian and his family something, my Mom had 2 autopsies (county and Dad paid for a private one since the county one was inconclusive) and both didn't tell us much other than it appeared to be heart-related. She'd battled breast cancer since 2005 and had just gotten a clean bill of health right before she passed. Her Mom had just died 4 days before so I wonder if the stress from that contributed to it ( ... )

OH! This is a really good kid's book for dealing with grief! My friend actually bought it for ME when my Mom died but its geared towards kids too. Reminds them its okay to cry and grieve. May be something for your nieces and even your boys if they were close to their aunt. The library probably has it if you don't think your boys will need it for long.

Thanks. I was thinking I should get the girls something. My boys weren't particularly close. I worry about telling them and them being concerned that their mommy is going to die like their cousin's.
