i did it, I ran a 5K today - it hurt like hell, but I finished!  I;ve got another race in two weeks, hoepfully actually training and not smoking will be enough to help lower time

thunder snow yesterday, two hour delay today - its the end of the world!
it does give me some extra time to grade papers though - and to lesson plan, and what not

turns out I brought lunch (can of soup) but no bowl...how odd.
things here are okay, a little stressed out, today will be a mere 15 - 16 hours, I get the feeling tomorrow night is early and/or in!  especially since I work the football game saturday morning.
crap...lunch is almost over - thank goodness for pb sandwiches...

well, i did it, i hiked the peak yesterday - it was awesome.  as far as I can tell its similar to drinking too much with friends:you laugh, you cry, you lose motor skills, at the end you are exhausted, hungry, and ready for bed; the next day (for me) your head aches, tired and just want a hot shower.  it rocks - mount elbert next summer!

there is a show about sand sculpting, its very interesting, but I happened to find the amp'd up version: Sand Blasting.  they build sand sculptures and every hour they blow one up...during sculpting.  interesting.

did you know that you burn 6 calories a minute doing general cleaning and vacuuming in your house?  6!  that means in an hour of real effort thats 360!  so if you clean for, say 3 hours (i did!  i love a clean house!!!) that you actually burn 1080 calories?!  i find that amazing!  see, i've been trying to do some activity (or activities) each day ( Read more... )
