How did I miss this when it was first posted? This story has so much depth, and the pacing and progession of it is so wonderful. Their relationship starts out entirely physical and mutates without either really recognizing it as it happens, and I love that. The characterizations feel right and real, too.

This is the best sort of angst, I think. The sort of fiction that you don't realize is meant to break your heart until it already has.
