Lovely. *sighs wistfully* This is only the second fic I've ever encountered featuring smoking!Snape, and I love how you write him. Harry's voice is so easy to slip into, watching him...

Even though, in the real world, smoking makes me gag, I loved this image of Harry, growing up as he realizes that the world isn't black and white but all shades of grey. . .including smoke grey. Very nice. Glad you are back.

Gee, I really liked this. It's exactly the kind of thing I imagine when I think of Snape - all the intimate moments and reactions that make up a personality. It perfectly captures that weird feeling you get as a kid when an authority figure, seen outside of their proper context, does something so everyday normal. I don't know, it's hard for me to put into words. This really struck a chord.
