With great sadness, I take my last bow with this livejournal blog, which I have had since 2004. I move on to Blogger, since LJ's recent changes to the photo system have made it too tricky to upload many pictures, which I am hoping to do now that we have our Little One here in our arms.

Two weeks old already!
Our little boy is 2 weeks old today! I can't believe it. 2 weeks and 42 minutes old, as of my typing time here. Already Benjamin is growing bigger and putting on lots of weight and fat. The Public Health nurse came to the house last week Friday to weigh him and he was 8 lbs 2 1/2 oz at that point. By Tuesday morning when I took him into the Ontario ( Read more... ) -

Wow - I haven't posted since July, and our lives have sure changed radically since then!!
We were able to go on a family vacation with Tom's family in July, when we were 35 weeks pregnant, and it was very nice to get away and relax for a few days before this big life-changing event took place.

Well, we didn't have anything to do on a Friday night until now!
Tonight we are going to a sheep roast. With my boss and his family and like 40 Mexican workers.
Should be fun.

That was apparently a better deal than I realized....
Soooo, those white wire baskets that I got at the garage sale on Saturday for in the nursery closet for $6.50? I researched them and apparently to buy them new costs around $115.

Garage Sale-ing
Saturday was the much anticipated Caledonia town-wide garage sale. I met up with Mum and Danielle at the Vdh's driveway at quarter to 8 and we were off exploring the town and looking for the best deals. I had a pretty good run - it seems like it was all of my stuff filling up the van. I don't think Mum got anything. Danielle got some free old keys ( Read more... )
