Today is National Punctuation Day.  It's a day where all people, young and old, can take a few minutes out to scrutinize their use of punctuation, spelling and grammar to see if it's up to snuff.  So often we get sloppy and we knowingly screw up punctuation, mix up homophones, misspell simple words like "definitely" and believe that there's nothing ( Read more... )

i had a tiny rock stuck in my sock today.  It was slightly bothersome.

So this morning armed, plain-clothes police in the London underground chased down a bombing suspect, warned him to get down and when he continued to flee, they shot him dead from quite a long ways away with their handguns.  Five out of five shots hit the suspect in the head, killing him instantly.  This raises only one pertinent question for me ( Read more... )

Factory movie last evening. i dare say i think i'm getting kind of weary of the Burton/Elfman formula, it's gotten to be the same ol' same ol'. i know straight off when i hear something by Danny Elfman in a movie, yet no one piece of music of his sticks with me or seems terribly distinct to me.
