My brand new LJ-friend wiseheart is hosting a virtual party on her LJ to celebrate her birthday. I took the long way to work this morning, stopping off at the polling station to cast my vote in the European-parliamentary and county-council elections. The strange thing about this to me was the fact that I was voting on an ordinary week day. In Sweden, where I grew up, elections are traditionally held on Sundays. On Writing
I went into the campus Oxfam on Friday, thinking vaguely to buy some cards, because I think they have nice ones. I came out with three cards, and three books. Deaf actresses -- thoughts after watching CSI: New York 3.12 Silent Night
I love Marlee Matlin; I have ever since I first saw her in Reasonable Doubts, with the also wonderful Mark Harmon. Her work in The West Wing made me love it more: Joey Lucas was a strong, interesting character and the way she worked with the regulars was beautiful. Having stumbled across a reference to teveepedia in somebody's livejournal I (being a geek and Trekker) typed in Star Trek. Clicking on to The Next Generation I found this.
