I'm currently reading Swordspoint by Ellen Kushner and loving it.

Also re-reading The Westing Game which was read to us by our teacher when I was in 6th grade. Enjoying it a lot, and making a lot more sense of it this time :)

Also picked up a new Lakoff, Whose Freedom?, which I've just started.

Steven Brust, Agyar. It does many things well, including only mostly redeeming its protagonist. (Do not read too much about this book if you decide you're going to read it; half the fun's figuring out for yourself what's going on and it's terribly easy to spoil.)

Ellen Kushner, The Privilege of the Sword (also Swordspoint).

John M. Ford, Heat of Fusion and Other Stories. Worth the price of admission for his pitch-perfect Hemingway pastiche alone. ("I would write more about this battle, but there are no words, or at least no words that are worth the rates this magazine will pay me.")
