Should I become a redhead with bangs?

What sort of bangs?  Generic indie girl bangs?  Feist bangs?  Kari Byron from Mythbusters bangs?  Keep in mind my hair is really thick and kind of wavy.

What sort of redhead?  Copper?  Burgundy?  I won't bleach my hair.  I'm leaning toward burgundy.

Burgundy is good.

What about Ashley on Sanctuary bangs?

I think copper! It will look better with your skin tone than burgundy! As for bangs, I like the Kari Byron style for you-- They will look better without compulsive straightening and they're partly pushed off her forehead, so they won't make your face look squished. Most people who do the solid fringe end up looking squished unless they have the world's longest forehead to start.

BAH! At the risk of being knifed in a dark alley by several excellent redheads who may read this, red hair is overrated ( ... )

Oh, also, I'm not sure about bangs... you have a nice forehead, better to show it off! Layers, maybe?

As someone who has recently made a (subtle) reddish-leaning hair change and now has to deal with the Roots Problem, I also recommend reddish streaks/highlights rather than all red. And yes, also the eyebrow problem. And you know that idea that anything will wash out if it's not bleached? LIES. My reddish hair that just keeps getting lighter and lighter (argh) says different.

If you go for bangs, definitely go for longer ones that you can kinda blowdry off to one side. Except the problem is that you don't blowdry your hair and it's kind of wavy, so bangs miiiiight not be the best idea for you. I recommend layers! Mad layers. With red highlights.

I also have a red wig (see icon). You can try it on if you want to see how you might look with red hair. Or, if you're getting the Red Hair itch, you can wear it around at parties. It's worked well for me. :-)

This. Beautiful multi-tonal streaks of various widths and shades of red, and delicate, calculated layers which make your hair wander around and flirt with passerby by itself.

If you want change, you should become President or something. I hear that's the hip thing for them to do these days.

I am agreeing totally! Copper would look awesome on you, as would the more subtle color i like to call 'strawberry brown', when it's not RED, but it's redder than just brown. And Feist bangs would look good with your face shape, i think, as would the Kari Byron bangs. Anything with sort of a sideways sweep to it, so it could do its own wavy thang and still look rockin.
