JaeJoong was waking up from a painful feeling in his butt. Softly moaning JaeJoong opened his eyes and stared right into YunHo’s worried face. He felt YunHo’s body against his and smelled all the different scents that were all around him in the room, sweat and… JaeJoong thought about what he had done with YunHo that night and realized that he had no regrets about it! Yes, he was now in pain and could probably not walk normally but he knew one thing for sure, he knew now that he could trust YunHo and he also realized that he was in love with YunHo! JaeJoong rose slowly but moaned almost immediately when the pain got worse. Yet he clenched his jaw tightly together and stood up. He sniffed when he realized that he could smell himself and he did not like it, at least not now he stank! Still with clenched jaws he walked to the bathroom and took a quick warm shower. He searched for a new pair of pajamas before he wanted to come back to YunHo and tried to sleep for a few more hours. He did not need a watch to know that it was still light outside, as long as YunHo slept he knew that it was late in the afternoon or early in the evening, but still not dark enough for YunHo to wake up. But still, knowing that he was more sensitive for the sunlight than before, he was still curious, he had not seen the daylight for weeks and he knew that it was not dangerous for him if he wanted to look outside, the worst that could happen to him was that he could get a light burned skin as if he had lain the whole day in the sun without protecting himself with sunscreen. JaeJoong came back to the bedroom and remembered that the house where he was had no windows so he could not look outside… There weren’t windows so that the vampires who where outside could not enter or smell all the humans inside. He knew that it was because of his own protection but he was still disappointed. He was a still a human and he did not like it to be always in the dark. It was also not healthy for his skin…
JaeJoong did his best to walk as silently as he could to the bed, he did not want to wake YunHo and he did thought that he had succeeded when he saw that YunHo was still lying motionless in bed… But when he snuggled back into YunHo’s warm embrace he heard YunHo’s soft voice next his ear, “how was the shower?” Asked YunHo and sniffed with his nose against JaeJoong’s neck and inhaled his scent. “Sorry that I have woken you up” JaeJoong whispered softly and pressed himself closer against YunHo’s body. YunHo pulled JaeJoong closer and turned around so that JaeJoong could lie comfortably. “How are you feeling? Have I hurt you?” YunHo asked carefully and listened at JaeJoong’s thoughts, searching for a sign that he had hurt JaeJoong accidentally during their sex. He could not remember that he had hurt JaeJoong, but it was possible that he had hurt JaeJoong without knowing, he was much stronger than JaeJoong and if he had lost his control for a few seconds he could have hurt JaeJoong badly. JaeJoong’s body was so weak and soft in his hands… “I- I’m fine, you haven’t hurt me” JaeJoong muttered ashamed and refused to think about his hurting butt, knowing that YunHo wanted to know If he had hurt him with his vampire strength. He pressed his face against YunHo’s chest, trying to hid his flushing cheeks. YunHo saw that JaeJoong was uncomfortable and that he tried to hide his face for him. YunHo stared thoughtfully at JaeJoong, wondering why he was uncomfortable and realized that he had ask JaeJoong the wrong question. JaeJoong had pain, but not because he had lose his control… JaeJoong’s butt was hurting! YunHo was relieved that JaeJoong was fine besides the pain that was normal for a human. Now that he knew why JaeJoong was embarrassed he relaxed, knowing that the pain JaeJoong was feeling was temporary and if JaeJoong wanted he could take his pain away for a while as long as they were together and he could influence JaeJoong.
YunHo said nothing more, he did not want that JaeJoong focused his thoughts on his hurting butt and pressed a kiss on his forehead. He had read JaeJoong’s thoughts and knew that JaeJoong was ashamed and did not wanted to talk about it, so he did not ask if he could help him. “Let’s sleep a little bit longer” YunHo spoke softly and listened to JaeJoong’s breathing. After a few minutes when it became regular and calm, he knew now that JaeJoong was asleep. But he slept no more, he thought the whole time about JaeJoong and how difficult it must be for him to give himself to YunHo and to accept him as his vampire mate. YunHo found it very brave of JaeJoong that he had made his decision to accept YunHo. YunHo listened the remaining hours till dawn at JaeJoong’s breathing, the sound from his beating heart and even occasionally caught snatches of his dreams. When YunHo saw his own face in JaeJoong’s dream he smiled, the thought that JaeJoong dreamed about him was making him happy.
YunHo had apparently fallen asleep, despite of his plans to stay awake and to watch JaeJoong while he was asleep. When he woke up he realized that JaeJoong was gone, the sheets next to him was empty and he had not heard JaeJoong when he had left. YunHo saw that JaeJoong had folded his pajamas and he smelled JaeJoong’s scent in the bathroom, but the scent had almost faded away now. YunHo knew immediately that JaeJoong was gone, he could not hear JaeJoong’s heart beat anymore and his scent had almost disappeared in the whole house. He rose and dressed himself as fast as he could, he wasted no time to clean himself first up and left. YunHo slammed the door to the tunnels open and looked in panic around him. He could not think of any reason why JaeJoong had left without waking him or even leaving a messenger behind for him so that he knew where he could find hi! YunHo knew that JaeJoong was still a little afraid to go alone outside and the fact that JaeJoong still did it was making him worried. Why had JaeJoong left the house? And where was he now? Was JaeJoong still afraid of him, even after yesterday? And JaeJoong wanted to leave him? To live a normal, human life without him? Had JaeJoong fled for him and had he tried to hide his real feelings for him? Had JaeJoong deliberately not thought about his real thoughts, that he wanted to leave him?! YunHo swallowed and tried to suppress the panic he suddenly felt, he must be strong and find his mate! He only did not know where to start! YunHo tried to localize JaeJoong’s scent but found nothing, the smell in the tunnel was much stronger than JaeJoong’s scent and drowned JaeJoong’s scent. It was now almost impossible to find him… Just when YunHo wanted to start searching and he started to run he heard how someone called his name. “YunHo! Wait!” YunHo stopped and looked a little irritated behind him, he wanted to search for JaeJoong and he had no time for a chat with someone. When he looked at the person who had called him he saw that HyunJoong was walking towards him with a smile. When he stopped before YunHo he looked surprised at his face, “What is wrong? Why are you looking so stressed?” HyunJoong paused and realized why YunHo was so worried. “Don’t worry about you mate, my JungMin knows this place and he would take care of JaeJoong. Your mate is safe with my JungMin, they will be back soon.”
YunHo stared shocked at HyunJoong, not believing what he heard. “Is my JaeJoong by your mate? Why? And where are they?” YunHo’s voice sounded higher than normal form the tension, the stress and the growing panic he felt. HyunJoong had heard YunHo’s voice too because he looked cautiously at YunHo. “Is there something wrong? Are there problems between you and you mate?” HyunJoong frowned and looked worried at YunHo. “I have lost him and don’t know where he is” YunHo spoke urgently and stepped a few steps closer to HyunJoong. “Where is he? Where is my JaeJoong?”Repeated YunHo urgently. HyunJoong stared thoughtfully at YunHo before he spoke, wondering what happened between YunHo and JaeJoong. “Your mate asked JungMin if he wanted to show him the exit, he wanted to do something, I don’t know what.” YunHo stiffened and stared in shock at HyunJoong, various anxious thoughts haunted in his mind and deep inside himself he was afraid that JaeJoong really wanted to leave him, he was afraid that JaeJoong wanted to escape from him and that he never wanted to see him again! “When have you seen them for the last time?” Asked YunHo in a rush.

"JaeJoong, why do you want me to bring you to the exit? You know that it is still light outside, it is almost twilight but still light… You can do nothing in this part of the tunnel unless you want to go outside, which is a bad idea without you mate.” JaeJoong looked around him and did not responded to JungMin’s words. JaeJoong did not want to go outside, especially not without YunHo but he wanted to see the sun for maybe a last time. JaeJoong knew now that besides this door there was no opening in the tunnels where he could see the sun, so it was possible that this was the last time in his human life that he could see it. “I’m not planning to go alone outside” he said shortly but didn’t explain what he wanted to do otherwise. He was afraid that JungMin would not understand his feelings, he knew that JungMin was mated with his vampire mate for a long time, longer than a normal human would be. He was afraid that JungMin wanted to hold the door closed, especially during the day, afraid to let the sunlight in who could harm his mate. JaeJoong was not afraid of the sun, the last time he had walked in the full sunlight he had only a light burned skin on his arms and shoulders, and that was all! And now the whole situation was different than the last time he had walked in the sunlight, it was now late in the afternoon and the sun was not so strong as the last time. He simply assumed that the sun would not hurt him and that it was not dangerous for him to only look at the light outside. JungMin was curious but he asked JaeJoong nothing, respecting his choice to not tell him what he was thinking about and opened a door to another dark room. He turned the light switch on and JaeJoong could now see the room where he and YunHo were a few days ago by a normal light, not in a total darkness. JaeJoong remembered clearly how he had felt when he was for the first time in this place, he had felt sick when he had smelled the odor in the tunnel. He had felt uneasy and was afraid, not knowing where he was and what would happen to him. But now that it was light he saw that the room was not what he had suspected, it was a old workplace, filled with old junk and clutter. JaeJoong saw that this place was once used by the humans, but they had abandoned this place long ago...
When JaeJoong had looked around him and had seen the whole room he was in he saw the door where he and YunHo had entered this place. He walked firm at the door, he knew what he wanted and he was planning to open the door. But when he looked behind him he realized that JungMin was not following him to the door. “JaeJoong, what are you doing by the door?” JungMin stood motionless behind him on a safe distant away from the door and looked worried from him to the door. “Why are we here? You’re not going outside, right?” JungMin looked worried at him and did even a few steps back, away from him and the door. “JaeJoong, come back with me… Let’s leave now.” JaeJoong looked surprised at JungMin when he placed his hand on the door handle, why? It is only the sun, nothing to worry about… what are you afraid of? The sun is not dangerous for us, it is almost twilight. The worst thing that could happen is that the sun burns my arms or my hands, but that is not dangerous…” JaeJoong grabbed the door handle again just when JungMin tried to talk to him for a last time, trying to persuade him so he would not open the door. “JaeJoong, listen to me, it is not safe for us too…” But before JungMin could finish his sentence JaeJoong had opened the door and he looked hopeful at the clear sky before him. JaeJoong was not prepared for the sudden burning pain he felt on his face, his arms and his whole body! JaeJoong screamed in terror when he fell on his knees on the ground, trying to cover his face with his hands, shielding himself from the burning sun. He rolled in his panic over the floor, trying to escape from the sunlight, but he realized too late that he rolled to the wrong way in his disorientated state, further the sunlight in! JaeJoong uttered a loud scream when he felt that the pain from the sunlight was becoming stronger and more painful with every second. Just a few seconds before he was losing his consciousness he heard that someone slammed the door close and that same person grabbed him with a pair of warm hands. That person lifted him up from the ground and carried him away from the door. JaeJoong heard a voice he recognized, it was YunHo’s voice… JaeJoong could not hear what YunHo said to him, he only vaguely heard his voice talking to him or someone else, and the next moment all the pain was gone, he didn’t feel the burning pain anymore, he was now only exhausted and wanted to sleep…
“Why was JaeJoong here? Why did he want to go outside!?” Yelled YunHo in his panic while he pressed JaeJoong’s limp body against his own. “H- He wanted to see the sun again for a last time… I wanted to stop him when he told me what he wanted to do, but he was faster than I and closer to the door… I think that he didn’t know how dangerous the sun is for us, he thought that nothing would happen to him!” JungMin stared with a shocked expression and wide eyes at JaeJoong’s limp body, his red burned skin and the painful expression on his face. YunHo glanced quickly at HyunJoong and looked for a few seconds in his eyes and started to run with JaeJoong in his arms, he ran as fast as he could, back to their home. When YunHo entered the bathroom he filled the bathtub with cold water and undressed JaeJoong. He needed to cool JaeJoong’s body temperature, and he needed to do it right now! He knew that JaeJoong would not die from the sun, human mates could not die from the sun because they were still no vampire, but they could become very sick and weak, it was simply very dangerous… This was a very painful experience for JaeJoong, one he wanted to prevent for him. YunHo cursed himself, he had to tell JaeJoong much earlier that he was much more sensitive for the sun than earlier, when he had met YunHo for the first time. It was his fault, he had to tell JaeJoong that he would become weaker for the sun as YunHo had bitten him regular. He had to tell JaeJoong it immediately when they were becoming closer, even if he still did not wanted to hear it… If he had told JaeJoong the truth earlier then maybe he was not injured and in this bad situation! He blamed himself what had just happened, he was angry at himself because it was his fault! He was responsible for JaeJoong and he had failed to protect him… He had promised JaeJoong to protect him and he had failed, he was not besides JaeJoong when he had needed him the most! But he was despite of all the bad things that happened relieved, JungMin had told him that JaeJoong didn’t want to leave him and tried to flee away from him, he told him that JaeJoong only wanted to see the sun for a last time! It was simply ignorance why JaeJoong was hurt, if he had know that it was not safe than he was still besides him now.
YunHo held JaeJoong in his arms while he gently put JaeJoong in the bath. When JaeJoong was fully underwater he looked critically at JaeJoong’s body, he saw that his body was burned by his arms, his hands, his wrists, his face and his neck. But he saw that the cold water was doing its job and the worst burned skin was fading slowly away and the red skin colored to another color. JaeJoong’s skin, was first red colored now to a unhealthy gray color, the skin must be very sensitive now. JaeJoong’s skin was serious wounded and it would take days, possibly months for JaeJoong to recover from the sunlight and his burned skin. The best thing YunHo could do now was holding JaeJoong’s body in the cold water so that his body temperature would drop a little. YunHo wanted to hold JaeJoong for at least two days, he could do this with his vampire powers, even if it was exhausting for him. And if JaeJoong would wake up even if he was influencing him then he must make body contact with JaeJoong. When he would touch JaeJoong he could take his pain over and make everything easier for JaeJoong. YunHo stayed up all night besides JaeJoong, he was holding JaeJoong asleep and when necessary he cooled JaeJoong with the shower or he put JaeJoong in the bath, filled with cold water. YunHo watched JaeJoong’s body closely and noted that, as he had expected, that JaeJoong’s body started to discolor. JaeJoong had a few blisters on his hands, exactly on the places where his hands had catch the most sunlight. The blisters on JaeJoong’s hands were small, but he had a lot blisters. He needed to care the blisters because they could catch a infection, what was very dangerous for JaeJoong now that his body was so weakened. YunHo knew that JaeJoong would panic when he would make up and saw himself in the mirror. Knowing what JaeJoong’s reaction would be he decided to make the whole house dark and he removed all the mirrors so that JaeJoong could not see himself. He was afraid that if JaeJoong saw himself he started to panic and stress was now not good for him. He knew that humans could recover completely so he had a good hope that JaeJoong would be fine. He new also that there were a few humans who were not revered completely but he did not want to think about that now. He wanted to prevent that JaeJoong saw himself when h would wake up, it would make JaeJoong only miserable if he saw himself now, not knowing that JaeJoong would be fine eventually.
YunHo kept JaeJoong two days asleep as he had planned and held the door close for anybody, he didn’t trust anybody with JaeJoong now. YunHo was exhausted, he had not permitted himself the luxury to eat or drink anything because he wanted to stay besides JaeJoong all the time, but his body weakened now he had not drink blood fast. Of course he could have called a human now he knew where he could find them, but he didn’t call them so he could drink human blood. He had not call a human because he had promised JaeJoong that he would not drink from other humans anymore and he wanted to keep his promise to JaeJoong, even if he didn’t know it if he would drink from a other human now he was fast asleep. He would not drink anything as long as JaeJoong was sleep, he wanted to talk with JaeJoong about it and ask him if it was good that he would drink from a other human. He decided to wait till JaeJoong was awake and to ask for JaeJoong’s permission. It was not a good idea to drink now from JaeJoong if he was wake, not now that his body was so weak. JaeJoong must accept the fact that YunHo needed to drink from a other human, he needed to drink blood if he wanted to survive. YunHo worried about JaeJoong’s reaction when he would talk with him about his blood problem but decided to not think about it now, he would worry about it later when JaeJoong was awake. YunHo worried more about JaeJoong’s condition when he would wake up at this moment, every human would react differently on this situation and he could not predict what JaeJoong would do. One human could only be weakened and would have a lot pain, but a other human would be so weakened that his or her life was in danger, but it was almost never fatal. YunHo had asked HyunJoong to buy extra stuff, just a precaution. He needed to have extra blankets, medicine for if JaeJoong was becoming sick, he needed soup and kinds of food that you gave to someone who was sick and had to recuperate.
YunHo had decided after two days to let JaeJoong wake up slowly from his fast sleep. YunHo broke the body contact between him and JaeJoong and stopped with using his vampire powers to hold JaeJoong asleep, he would wake up when his body was ready for it. How long it would take before JaeJoong would wake up did YunHo not know, it could take a few hours, but maybe even a whole day. It was difficult to predict when JaeJoong would wake up, especially now YunHo had influence JaeJoong’s body for a long time. Sometimes it took a while before the body had adapted to the new change and would take the control again. But when YunHo had broke the contact between himself and JaeJoong he realized that JaeJoong’s body had no trouble with taking control again and he saw almost immediately a chances. JaeJoong’s breathing sounded irregular than previously, YunHo had hold JaeJoong’s body the whole time so under control that he hasn’t move and he saw the difference clearly now he started to move. JaeJoong’s body was protesting to the forced sleep and started to wake slowly. JaeJoong’s body moved a little, He stirred in his sleep with his hands and tried to roll over onto his side. YunHo stopped JaeJoong before he could roll over, every movement could be painful.
JaeJoong started to toss around in his bed already after a few hours end muttered unclearly words in his sleep. YunHo needed to hold JaeJoong now almost all the time in his arms to prevent that he would hurt himself accidentally and waited patient till JaeJoong would wake up. JaeJoong was sweating and moaned in his sleep when he started to feel uneasy during his light slumber. Not much later woke JaeJoong in YunHo’s arms. With a painful expression on his face opened JaeJoong his eyes and stared right into YunHo’s worried face. JaeJoong's breathing quickened when he felt the pain in his body and he started to worry when he saw YunHo’s worried face. “Y-YunHo?” JaeJoong tried tired to get up but was immediately pulled back by YunHo who put him back in bed. “Sst, try to rest” soothed YunHo and grabbed JaeJoong’s hand, trying to reassure him. “JaeJoong, do you remember what happened?” YunHo hoped not, he would prefer that JaeJoong had forgot this painful experience immediately and no longer needed to think about it. But when YunHo looked at JaeJoong’s face he saw that JaeJoong could remember it, a painful look was visible in JaeJoong’s eyes and crept closer against YunHo, his body shivered.
“What happened? Why was the sun so painful?” Asked JaeJoong with a trembling and sad voice. YunHo noticed JaeJoong’s confusion and looked sadly. “Why can I not stand the sun? I’m not a…” Began JaeJoong and looked panicking up at YunHo. “Don’t worry, you’re not a vampire, not yet anyway. But… You can’t go outside during the day anymore now I have bite you more. The closer our relationship is, the more you become dependent on me and you’re going to look like me… I’m really sorry JaeJoong, I should've told you the whole story, but… I did not suspect that you would go outside alone to see the sun without telling me… I was also afraid that if I wanted to talk with you that you didn’t want to listen to me, you’re afraid of all the vampire stuff.” YunHo closed his eyes and took a deep breath. He had spoken sincerely against JaeJoong, but he was still afraid to lose JaeJoong again and that he needed to win JaeJoong’s trust again, just when JaeJoong was trusting him end had given him his love…
There was a deep silence and JaeJoong said nothing. He stared sad at YunHo’s face and he realized that YunHo was right, he didn’t want to hear the truth and the idea that he never could walk outside anymore in the daylight was making him sad. JaeJoong had thought that he only needed to give his personal things up if he transformed into a vampire, but not now and not this fast… But on the other hand, he could not be mad at YunHo, he wanted to be mad at YunHo, he wanted to yell at YunHo, he wanted to blame YunHo, but he couldn't do it! He didn’t understand where those feelings were coming from, but he knew not that he loved YunHo, even if he was now in pain because of the vampire problems he had en even if he could not see the sun anymore, he still loved YunHo… JaeJoong took a deep breath and spoke softly, trying to disguise his slightly trembling voice, “what more has changed while I’m was with you? And… What more is going to change?”JaeJoong bite his lip and looked fixed at his burned hands, waiting anxious for YunHo’s answer. Nothing will happen for now, you’re holding a sharpened sense of smell and the sunlight will be painful for your eyes and will burn your skin… But for now is that everything.” JaeJoong nodded slowly but avoided YunHo’s gaze still a little unsure about this whole situation. “So there is really no way back?” Asked JaeJoong eventually sad. JaeJoong knew in advance what YunHo’s answer would be, before YunHo could response to his question. He knew that there was no way back for him, he and YunHo were made for each other, he knew that now and had accepted it. “I’m sorry Jae, I…” started YunHo but stopped when JaeJoong had grabbed his hand and gave him a sign that he must be silent. “I know and I’m not angry, only sad” JaeJoong realized that he must accept the fact that he would be a vampire in the future and the only thing he could do now was trying to prepare for it and enjoy his human life as long as possible.

JaeJoong was sweaty when he awakened and felt sick. He looked around him and felt a little disorientated. He saw that YunHo was looking at him with a concerned expression on his face. YunHo moved closer to him and placed his hand on JaeJoong’s forehead to check his temperature. JaeJoong saw that when YunHo was checking his temperature his expression darkened, he looked now more concerned than a few minutes before. “Is there something wrong?” Asked JaeJoong with a hoarse voice and tried to sit up in bed. He realized almost immediately that he was too weak to sit up without help but he had not much pain on his burned skin, he still felt it but the worse pain was over. “You have a fever” answered YunHo tired and grabbed his hand, trying to comfort him. JaeJoong stared startled at YunHo’s hand when he felt how cold he was. He knew that if YunHo had drank human blood he never felt so cold as now. He pulled almost his hand back and suppressed a shiver. “Why are you so cold?” muttered JaeJoong and tried to concentrate on something else than his own discomfort. YunHo avoided JaeJoong’s gaze immediately and signed. “If I’m honest… I need to drink blood… But I’m not going to drink from you, you’re too weak and it would be too painful for you this time.” YunHo looked thoughtfully at the floor, wondering how he could start the conversation about his blood problem. How must he say to JaeJoong that he needed to drink blood from a other person than JaeJoong, just when he had promised JaeJoong to not drink anymore from other people?
“Okay” said JaeJoong suddenly softly, answering YunHo’s unspoken question. If you really need to drink human blood than you must do it, but you must do it when I’m around… I… I don’t want that you and that girl are alone together.” JaeJoong blushed and looked quickly away. JaeJoong would not admit that he was jealous because a strange girl he didn’t know would be intimate with YunHo and would feel YunHo’s lips on her body. He was afraid that the girl would be pretty and would impress YunHo, even now he knew that YunHo only wanted him. It was annoying for JaeJoong to watch this, but he still wanted it, for control and because he knew that YunHo that really needed it. He would not have started this conversation if it was not necessary. “Are sure about this?” YunHo ignored the blush on JaeJoong’s cheeks, YunHo knew darn well why JaeJoong blushed but he absolutely did not what to do anything he would regret later and what would hurt JaeJoong. JaeJoong had made his point clear when he had saw that YunHo had drank human blood from that girl end it was uncomfortable for both of them to do this, but it was necessary. YunHo was of course thankful that JaeJoong had understand him and had given him permission to do this, but he was afraid that he would hurt JaeJoong when he saw him with a other human. It was bad for him if he would not drink any blood soon, it could even dangerous for him, but he would carry on with it if JaeJoong wanted it, for him alone… But happily for him was this not necessary.
JaeJoong smiled at YunHo and nodded, but because he still felt a little unsure he added a few last words, “only when I’m still too weak to do it myself and only when I’m with you.” “Okay” said YunHo softly and stood slowly up, he looked critically at JaeJoong end looked then around him. “You must eat something, you need your strength if you want to get better.” JaeJoong nodded again and looked at YunHo when he prepared some food for him. YunHo brought JaeJoong a bowl soup and blew over the soup to cool it a bit. But when JaeJoong tried to eat something he felt s sick and swallowed the soup with difficulty. JaeJoong tried in his weakened state to sit up but he was to slow. YunHo could grab JaeJoong just in time to prevent that he vomited over himself but he could not prevent that the bed and the floor become dirty. YunHo ignored all the vomit on the bed and the floor, he lifted JaeJoong up in his arms and dragged him to the bathroom. He helped JaeJoong to clean himself and helped him to rinse his mouth. YunHo checked JaeJoong’s temperature but could not find out why JaeJoong was so suddenly sick. He wondered if it had something to do with his bad condition or if the soup had made him sick. Ten minutes later tried YunHo again to led JaeJoong eat something but he felt again sick, though he did not have to vomit again. YunHo was again worried, it was not a good sign that JaeJoong could not eat, YunHo decided to stay besides JaeJoong despite the fact that he was hungry and needed to eat. He watched JaeJoong and saw that JaeJoong become more and more weakened and eventually got a fever, the thing he had feared the most happened now.
YunHo decided eventually to ask the advice from a few other vampires who lived here and asked them to come over when JaeJoong was sleeping. YunHo knew JaeJoong would scare to death when he realized that he was watched by a bunch of strange vampires and hoped that JaeJoong would be asleep for at last ten minutes or even longer. He was prepared to hold JaeJoong asleep if it was necessary and he was waking up but he hoped that it was not needed, he was too tired to use much of his vampire powers. The vampires he had asked to come over to look at JaeJoong had he met during his stay in the tunnels and he knew that they had a lot experience and they would knew that to do with JaeJoong. A vampire woman he had also asked to come leaned over JaeJoong and she looked at him from close, she checked his temperature and felt on his forehead. The vampire woman frowned and exchanged a dubious glance with the other vampires who where all standing around JaeJoong. “What is it?” Asked YunHo urgently, he had seen a lot in his long life and knew from stories which dangers there were for a human partner, but to see and experience it himself was different and confusing. He had no experience with situations like those and he needed now the knowledge from the vampires who had seen more situations like those he was in.
The vampire women who had taking the lead looked calm but sad at him, knowing that she had no good news for YunHo.” You mate’s body is reacting too strong at the sunlight he was exposed to, the intensity of the sun was apparently stronger than you expected… You partner could become sicker, he would be in a lot pain and his recovery would be slowly, maybe to slow for him to bear. Unless you choose for it to turn him into a vampire, all his injuries and his pain would be healed in one instant and he would be strong and healthy. But now you must make the decision, and only you can make it, is you mate ready for it? Wanted he to be a vampire?”

JaeJoong was waking up from a painful feeling in his butt. Softly moaning JaeJoong opened his eyes and stared right into YunHo’s worried face. He felt YunHo’s body against his and smelled all the different scents that were all around him in the room, sweat and… JaeJoong thought about what he had done with YunHo that night and realized that he had no regrets about it! Yes, he was now in pain and could probably not walk normally but he knew one thing for sure, he knew now that he could trust YunHo and he also realized that he was in love with YunHo! JaeJoong rose slowly but moaned almost immediately when the pain got worse. Yet he clenched his jaw tightly together and stood up. He sniffed when he realized that he could smell himself and he did not like it, at least not now he stank! Still with clenched jaws he walked to the bathroom and took a quick warm shower. He searched for a new pair of pajamas before he wanted to come back to YunHo and tried to sleep for a few more hours. He did not need a watch to know that it was still light outside, as long as YunHo slept he knew that it was late in the afternoon or early in the evening, but still not dark enough for YunHo to wake up. But still, knowing that he was more sensitive for the sunlight than before, he was still curious, he had not seen the daylight for weeks and he knew that it was not dangerous for him if he wanted to look outside, the worst that could happen to him was that he could get a light burned skin as if he had lain the whole day in the sun without protecting himself with sunscreen. JaeJoong came back to the bedroom and remembered that the house where he was had no windows so he could not look outside… There weren’t windows so that the vampires who where outside could not enter or smell all the humans inside. He knew that it was because of his own protection but he was still disappointed. He was a still a human and he did not like it to be always in the dark. It was also not healthy for his skin…
JaeJoong did his best to walk as silently as he could to the bed, he did not want to wake YunHo and he did thought that he had succeeded when he saw that YunHo was still lying motionless in bed… But when he snuggled back into YunHo’s warm embrace he heard YunHo’s soft voice next his ear, “how was the shower?” Asked YunHo and sniffed with his nose against JaeJoong’s neck and inhaled his scent. “Sorry that I have woken you up” JaeJoong whispered softly and pressed himself closer against YunHo’s body. YunHo pulled JaeJoong closer and turned around so that JaeJoong could lie comfortably. “How are you feeling? Have I hurt you?” YunHo asked carefully and listened at JaeJoong’s thoughts, searching for a sign that he had hurt JaeJoong accidentally during their sex. He could not remember that he had hurt JaeJoong, but it was possible that he had hurt JaeJoong without knowing, he was much stronger than JaeJoong and if he had lost his control for a few seconds he could have hurt JaeJoong badly. JaeJoong’s body was so weak and soft in his hands… “I- I’m fine, you haven’t hurt me” JaeJoong muttered ashamed and refused to think about his hurting butt, knowing that YunHo wanted to know If he had hurt him with his vampire strength. He pressed his face against YunHo’s chest, trying to hid his flushing cheeks. YunHo saw that JaeJoong was uncomfortable and that he tried to hide his face for him. YunHo stared thoughtfully at JaeJoong, wondering why he was uncomfortable and realized that he had ask JaeJoong the wrong question. JaeJoong had pain, but not because he had lose his control… JaeJoong’s butt was hurting! YunHo was relieved that JaeJoong was fine besides the pain that was normal for a human. Now that he knew why JaeJoong was embarrassed he relaxed, knowing that the pain JaeJoong was feeling was temporary and if JaeJoong wanted he could take his pain away for a while as long as they were together and he could influence JaeJoong.
YunHo said nothing more, he did not want that JaeJoong focused his thoughts on his hurting butt and pressed a kiss on his forehead. He had read JaeJoong’s thoughts and knew that JaeJoong was ashamed and did not wanted to talk about it, so he did not ask if he could help him. “Let’s sleep a little bit longer” YunHo spoke softly and listened to JaeJoong’s breathing. After a few minutes when it became regular and calm, he knew now that JaeJoong was asleep. But he slept no more, he thought the whole time about JaeJoong and how difficult it must be for him to give himself to YunHo and to accept him as his vampire mate. YunHo found it very brave of JaeJoong that he had made his decision to accept YunHo. YunHo listened the remaining hours till dawn at JaeJoong’s breathing, the sound from his beating heart and even occasionally caught snatches of his dreams. When YunHo saw his own face in JaeJoong’s dream he smiled, the thought that JaeJoong dreamed about him was making him happy.
YunHo had apparently fallen asleep, despite of his plans to stay awake and to watch JaeJoong while he was asleep. When he woke up he realized that JaeJoong was gone, the sheets next to him was empty and he had not heard JaeJoong when he had left. YunHo saw that JaeJoong had folded his pajamas and he smelled JaeJoong’s scent in the bathroom, but the scent had almost faded away now. YunHo knew immediately that JaeJoong was gone, he could not hear JaeJoong’s heart beat anymore and his scent had almost disappeared in the whole house. He rose and dressed himself as fast as he could, he wasted no time to clean himself first up and left. YunHo slammed the door to the tunnels open and looked in panic around him. He could not think of any reason why JaeJoong had left without waking him or even leaving a messenger behind for him so that he knew where he could find hi! YunHo knew that JaeJoong was still a little afraid to go alone outside and the fact that JaeJoong still did it was making him worried. Why had JaeJoong left the house? And where was he now? Was JaeJoong still afraid of him, even after yesterday? And JaeJoong wanted to leave him? To live a normal, human life without him? Had JaeJoong fled for him and had he tried to hide his real feelings for him? Had JaeJoong deliberately not thought about his real thoughts, that he wanted to leave him?! YunHo swallowed and tried to suppress the panic he suddenly felt, he must be strong and find his mate! He only did not know where to start! YunHo tried to localize JaeJoong’s scent but found nothing, the smell in the tunnel was much stronger than JaeJoong’s scent and drowned JaeJoong’s scent. It was now almost impossible to find him… Just when YunHo wanted to start searching and he started to run he heard how someone called his name. “YunHo! Wait!” YunHo stopped and looked a little irritated behind him, he wanted to search for JaeJoong and he had no time for a chat with someone. When he looked at the person who had called him he saw that HyunJoong was walking towards him with a smile. When he stopped before YunHo he looked surprised at his face, “What is wrong? Why are you looking so stressed?” HyunJoong paused and realized why YunHo was so worried. “Don’t worry about you mate, my JungMin knows this place and he would take care of JaeJoong. Your mate is safe with my JungMin, they will be back soon.”
YunHo stared shocked at HyunJoong, not believing what he heard. “Is my JaeJoong by your mate? Why? And where are they?” YunHo’s voice sounded higher than normal form the tension, the stress and the growing panic he felt. HyunJoong had heard YunHo’s voice too because he looked cautiously at YunHo. “Is there something wrong? Are there problems between you and you mate?” HyunJoong frowned and looked worried at YunHo. “I have lost him and don’t know where he is” YunHo spoke urgently and stepped a few steps closer to HyunJoong. “Where is he? Where is my JaeJoong?”Repeated YunHo urgently. HyunJoong stared thoughtfully at YunHo before he spoke, wondering what happened between YunHo and JaeJoong. “Your mate asked JungMin if he wanted to show him the exit, he wanted to do something, I don’t know what.” YunHo stiffened and stared in shock at HyunJoong, various anxious thoughts haunted in his mind and deep inside himself he was afraid that JaeJoong really wanted to leave him, he was afraid that JaeJoong wanted to escape from him and that he never wanted to see him again! “When have you seen them for the last time?” Asked YunHo in a rush.

"JaeJoong, why do you want me to bring you to the exit? You know that it is still light outside, it is almost twilight but still light… You can do nothing in this part of the tunnel unless you want to go outside, which is a bad idea without you mate.” JaeJoong looked around him and did not responded to JungMin’s words. JaeJoong did not want to go outside, especially not without YunHo but he wanted to see the sun for maybe a last time. JaeJoong knew now that besides this door there was no opening in the tunnels where he could see the sun, so it was possible that this was the last time in his human life that he could see it. “I’m not planning to go alone outside” he said shortly but didn’t explain what he wanted to do otherwise. He was afraid that JungMin would not understand his feelings, he knew that JungMin was mated with his vampire mate for a long time, longer than a normal human would be. He was afraid that JungMin wanted to hold the door closed, especially during the day, afraid to let the sunlight in who could harm his mate. JaeJoong was not afraid of the sun, the last time he had walked in the full sunlight he had only a light burned skin on his arms and shoulders, and that was all! And now the whole situation was different than the last time he had walked in the sunlight, it was now late in the afternoon and the sun was not so strong as the last time. He simply assumed that the sun would not hurt him and that it was not dangerous for him to only look at the light outside. JungMin was curious but he asked JaeJoong nothing, respecting his choice to not tell him what he was thinking about and opened a door to another dark room. He turned the light switch on and JaeJoong could now see the room where he and YunHo were a few days ago by a normal light, not in a total darkness. JaeJoong remembered clearly how he had felt when he was for the first time in this place, he had felt sick when he had smelled the odor in the tunnel. He had felt uneasy and was afraid, not knowing where he was and what would happen to him. But now that it was light he saw that the room was not what he had suspected, it was a old workplace, filled with old junk and clutter. JaeJoong saw that this place was once used by the humans, but they had abandoned this place long ago...
When JaeJoong had looked around him and had seen the whole room he was in he saw the door where he and YunHo had entered this place. He walked firm at the door, he knew what he wanted and he was planning to open the door. But when he looked behind him he realized that JungMin was not following him to the door. “JaeJoong, what are you doing by the door?” JungMin stood motionless behind him on a safe distant away from the door and looked worried from him to the door. “Why are we here? You’re not going outside, right?” JungMin looked worried at him and did even a few steps back, away from him and the door. “JaeJoong, come back with me… Let’s leave now.” JaeJoong looked surprised at JungMin when he placed his hand on the door handle, why? It is only the sun, nothing to worry about… what are you afraid of? The sun is not dangerous for us, it is almost twilight. The worst thing that could happen is that the sun burns my arms or my hands, but that is not dangerous…” JaeJoong grabbed the door handle again just when JungMin tried to talk to him for a last time, trying to persuade him so he would not open the door. “JaeJoong, listen to me, it is not safe for us too…” But before JungMin could finish his sentence JaeJoong had opened the door and he looked hopeful at the clear sky before him. JaeJoong was not prepared for the sudden burning pain he felt on his face, his arms and his whole body! JaeJoong screamed in terror when he fell on his knees on the ground, trying to cover his face with his hands, shielding himself from the burning sun. He rolled in his panic over the floor, trying to escape from the sunlight, but he realized too late that he rolled to the wrong way in his disorientated state, further the sunlight in! JaeJoong uttered a loud scream when he felt that the pain from the sunlight was becoming stronger and more painful with every second. Just a few seconds before he was losing his consciousness he heard that someone slammed the door close and that same person grabbed him with a pair of warm hands. That person lifted him up from the ground and carried him away from the door. JaeJoong heard a voice he recognized, it was YunHo’s voice… JaeJoong could not hear what YunHo said to him, he only vaguely heard his voice talking to him or someone else, and the next moment all the pain was gone, he didn’t feel the burning pain anymore, he was now only exhausted and wanted to sleep…
“Why was JaeJoong here? Why did he want to go outside!?” Yelled YunHo in his panic while he pressed JaeJoong’s limp body against his own. “H- He wanted to see the sun again for a last time… I wanted to stop him when he told me what he wanted to do, but he was faster than I and closer to the door… I think that he didn’t know how dangerous the sun is for us, he thought that nothing would happen to him!” JungMin stared with a shocked expression and wide eyes at JaeJoong’s limp body, his red burned skin and the painful expression on his face. YunHo glanced quickly at HyunJoong and looked for a few seconds in his eyes and started to run with JaeJoong in his arms, he ran as fast as he could, back to their home. When YunHo entered the bathroom he filled the bathtub with cold water and undressed JaeJoong. He needed to cool JaeJoong’s body temperature, and he needed to do it right now! He knew that JaeJoong would not die from the sun, human mates could not die from the sun because they were still no vampire, but they could become very sick and weak, it was simply very dangerous… This was a very painful experience for JaeJoong, one he wanted to prevent for him. YunHo cursed himself, he had to tell JaeJoong much earlier that he was much more sensitive for the sun than earlier, when he had met YunHo for the first time. It was his fault, he had to tell JaeJoong that he would become weaker for the sun as YunHo had bitten him regular. He had to tell JaeJoong it immediately when they were becoming closer, even if he still did not wanted to hear it… If he had told JaeJoong the truth earlier then maybe he was not injured and in this bad situation! He blamed himself what had just happened, he was angry at himself because it was his fault! He was responsible for JaeJoong and he had failed to protect him… He had promised JaeJoong to protect him and he had failed, he was not besides JaeJoong when he had needed him the most! But he was despite of all the bad things that happened relieved, JungMin had told him that JaeJoong didn’t want to leave him and tried to flee away from him, he told him that JaeJoong only wanted to see the sun for a last time! It was simply ignorance why JaeJoong was hurt, if he had know that it was not safe than he was still besides him now.
YunHo held JaeJoong in his arms while he gently put JaeJoong in the bath. When JaeJoong was fully underwater he looked critically at JaeJoong’s body, he saw that his body was burned by his arms, his hands, his wrists, his face and his neck. But he saw that the cold water was doing its job and the worst burned skin was fading slowly away and the red skin colored to another color. JaeJoong’s skin, was first red colored now to a unhealthy gray color, the skin must be very sensitive now. JaeJoong’s skin was serious wounded and it would take days, possibly months for JaeJoong to recover from the sunlight and his burned skin. The best thing YunHo could do now was holding JaeJoong’s body in the cold water so that his body temperature would drop a little. YunHo wanted to hold JaeJoong for at least two days, he could do this with his vampire powers, even if it was exhausting for him. And if JaeJoong would wake up even if he was influencing him then he must make body contact with JaeJoong. When he would touch JaeJoong he could take his pain over and make everything easier for JaeJoong. YunHo stayed up all night besides JaeJoong, he was holding JaeJoong asleep and when necessary he cooled JaeJoong with the shower or he put JaeJoong in the bath, filled with cold water. YunHo watched JaeJoong’s body closely and noted that, as he had expected, that JaeJoong’s body started to discolor. JaeJoong had a few blisters on his hands, exactly on the places where his hands had catch the most sunlight. The blisters on JaeJoong’s hands were small, but he had a lot blisters. He needed to care the blisters because they could catch a infection, what was very dangerous for JaeJoong now that his body was so weakened. YunHo knew that JaeJoong would panic when he would make up and saw himself in the mirror. Knowing what JaeJoong’s reaction would be he decided to make the whole house dark and he removed all the mirrors so that JaeJoong could not see himself. He was afraid that if JaeJoong saw himself he started to panic and stress was now not good for him. He knew that humans could recover completely so he had a good hope that JaeJoong would be fine. He new also that there were a few humans who were not revered completely but he did not want to think about that now. He wanted to prevent that JaeJoong saw himself when h would wake up, it would make JaeJoong only miserable if he saw himself now, not knowing that JaeJoong would be fine eventually.
YunHo kept JaeJoong two days asleep as he had planned and held the door close for anybody, he didn’t trust anybody with JaeJoong now. YunHo was exhausted, he had not permitted himself the luxury to eat or drink anything because he wanted to stay besides JaeJoong all the time, but his body weakened now he had not drink blood fast. Of course he could have called a human now he knew where he could find them, but he didn’t call them so he could drink human blood. He had not call a human because he had promised JaeJoong that he would not drink from other humans anymore and he wanted to keep his promise to JaeJoong, even if he didn’t know it if he would drink from a other human now he was fast asleep. He would not drink anything as long as JaeJoong was sleep, he wanted to talk with JaeJoong about it and ask him if it was good that he would drink from a other human. He decided to wait till JaeJoong was awake and to ask for JaeJoong’s permission. It was not a good idea to drink now from JaeJoong if he was wake, not now that his body was so weak. JaeJoong must accept the fact that YunHo needed to drink from a other human, he needed to drink blood if he wanted to survive. YunHo worried about JaeJoong’s reaction when he would talk with him about his blood problem but decided to not think about it now, he would worry about it later when JaeJoong was awake. YunHo worried more about JaeJoong’s condition when he would wake up at this moment, every human would react differently on this situation and he could not predict what JaeJoong would do. One human could only be weakened and would have a lot pain, but a other human would be so weakened that his or her life was in danger, but it was almost never fatal. YunHo had asked HyunJoong to buy extra stuff, just a precaution. He needed to have extra blankets, medicine for if JaeJoong was becoming sick, he needed soup and kinds of food that you gave to someone who was sick and had to recuperate.
YunHo had decided after two days to let JaeJoong wake up slowly from his fast sleep. YunHo broke the body contact between him and JaeJoong and stopped with using his vampire powers to hold JaeJoong asleep, he would wake up when his body was ready for it. How long it would take before JaeJoong would wake up did YunHo not know, it could take a few hours, but maybe even a whole day. It was difficult to predict when JaeJoong would wake up, especially now YunHo had influence JaeJoong’s body for a long time. Sometimes it took a while before the body had adapted to the new change and would take the control again. But when YunHo had broke the contact between himself and JaeJoong he realized that JaeJoong’s body had no trouble with taking control again and he saw almost immediately a chances. JaeJoong’s breathing sounded irregular than previously, YunHo had hold JaeJoong’s body the whole time so under control that he hasn’t move and he saw the difference clearly now he started to move. JaeJoong’s body was protesting to the forced sleep and started to wake slowly. JaeJoong’s body moved a little, He stirred in his sleep with his hands and tried to roll over onto his side. YunHo stopped JaeJoong before he could roll over, every movement could be painful.
JaeJoong started to toss around in his bed already after a few hours end muttered unclearly words in his sleep. YunHo needed to hold JaeJoong now almost all the time in his arms to prevent that he would hurt himself accidentally and waited patient till JaeJoong would wake up. JaeJoong was sweating and moaned in his sleep when he started to feel uneasy during his light slumber. Not much later woke JaeJoong in YunHo’s arms. With a painful expression on his face opened JaeJoong his eyes and stared right into YunHo’s worried face. JaeJoong's breathing quickened when he felt the pain in his body and he started to worry when he saw YunHo’s worried face. “Y-YunHo?” JaeJoong tried tired to get up but was immediately pulled back by YunHo who put him back in bed. “Sst, try to rest” soothed YunHo and grabbed JaeJoong’s hand, trying to reassure him. “JaeJoong, do you remember what happened?” YunHo hoped not, he would prefer that JaeJoong had forgot this painful experience immediately and no longer needed to think about it. But when YunHo looked at JaeJoong’s face he saw that JaeJoong could remember it, a painful look was visible in JaeJoong’s eyes and crept closer against YunHo, his body shivered.
“What happened? Why was the sun so painful?” Asked JaeJoong with a trembling and sad voice. YunHo noticed JaeJoong’s confusion and looked sadly. “Why can I not stand the sun? I’m not a…” Began JaeJoong and looked panicking up at YunHo. “Don’t worry, you’re not a vampire, not yet anyway. But… You can’t go outside during the day anymore now I have bite you more. The closer our relationship is, the more you become dependent on me and you’re going to look like me… I’m really sorry JaeJoong, I should've told you the whole story, but… I did not suspect that you would go outside alone to see the sun without telling me… I was also afraid that if I wanted to talk with you that you didn’t want to listen to me, you’re afraid of all the vampire stuff.” YunHo closed his eyes and took a deep breath. He had spoken sincerely against JaeJoong, but he was still afraid to lose JaeJoong again and that he needed to win JaeJoong’s trust again, just when JaeJoong was trusting him end had given him his love…
There was a deep silence and JaeJoong said nothing. He stared sad at YunHo’s face and he realized that YunHo was right, he didn’t want to hear the truth and the idea that he never could walk outside anymore in the daylight was making him sad. JaeJoong had thought that he only needed to give his personal things up if he transformed into a vampire, but not now and not this fast… But on the other hand, he could not be mad at YunHo, he wanted to be mad at YunHo, he wanted to yell at YunHo, he wanted to blame YunHo, but he couldn't do it! He didn’t understand where those feelings were coming from, but he knew not that he loved YunHo, even if he was now in pain because of the vampire problems he had en even if he could not see the sun anymore, he still loved YunHo… JaeJoong took a deep breath and spoke softly, trying to disguise his slightly trembling voice, “what more has changed while I’m was with you? And… What more is going to change?”JaeJoong bite his lip and looked fixed at his burned hands, waiting anxious for YunHo’s answer. Nothing will happen for now, you’re holding a sharpened sense of smell and the sunlight will be painful for your eyes and will burn your skin… But for now is that everything.” JaeJoong nodded slowly but avoided YunHo’s gaze still a little unsure about this whole situation. “So there is really no way back?” Asked JaeJoong eventually sad. JaeJoong knew in advance what YunHo’s answer would be, before YunHo could response to his question. He knew that there was no way back for him, he and YunHo were made for each other, he knew that now and had accepted it. “I’m sorry Jae, I…” started YunHo but stopped when JaeJoong had grabbed his hand and gave him a sign that he must be silent. “I know and I’m not angry, only sad” JaeJoong realized that he must accept the fact that he would be a vampire in the future and the only thing he could do now was trying to prepare for it and enjoy his human life as long as possible.

JaeJoong was sweaty when he awakened and felt sick. He looked around him and felt a little disorientated. He saw that YunHo was looking at him with a concerned expression on his face. YunHo moved closer to him and placed his hand on JaeJoong’s forehead to check his temperature. JaeJoong saw that when YunHo was checking his temperature his expression darkened, he looked now more concerned than a few minutes before. “Is there something wrong?” Asked JaeJoong with a hoarse voice and tried to sit up in bed. He realized almost immediately that he was too weak to sit up without help but he had not much pain on his burned skin, he still felt it but the worse pain was over. “You have a fever” answered YunHo tired and grabbed his hand, trying to comfort him. JaeJoong stared startled at YunHo’s hand when he felt how cold he was. He knew that if YunHo had drank human blood he never felt so cold as now. He pulled almost his hand back and suppressed a shiver. “Why are you so cold?” muttered JaeJoong and tried to concentrate on something else than his own discomfort. YunHo avoided JaeJoong’s gaze immediately and signed. “If I’m honest… I need to drink blood… But I’m not going to drink from you, you’re too weak and it would be too painful for you this time.” YunHo looked thoughtfully at the floor, wondering how he could start the conversation about his blood problem. How must he say to JaeJoong that he needed to drink blood from a other person than JaeJoong, just when he had promised JaeJoong to not drink anymore from other people?
“Okay” said JaeJoong suddenly softly, answering YunHo’s unspoken question. If you really need to drink human blood than you must do it, but you must do it when I’m around… I… I don’t want that you and that girl are alone together.” JaeJoong blushed and looked quickly away. JaeJoong would not admit that he was jealous because a strange girl he didn’t know would be intimate with YunHo and would feel YunHo’s lips on her body. He was afraid that the girl would be pretty and would impress YunHo, even now he knew that YunHo only wanted him. It was annoying for JaeJoong to watch this, but he still wanted it, for control and because he knew that YunHo that really needed it. He would not have started this conversation if it was not necessary. “Are sure about this?” YunHo ignored the blush on JaeJoong’s cheeks, YunHo knew darn well why JaeJoong blushed but he absolutely did not what to do anything he would regret later and what would hurt JaeJoong. JaeJoong had made his point clear when he had saw that YunHo had drank human blood from that girl end it was uncomfortable for both of them to do this, but it was necessary. YunHo was of course thankful that JaeJoong had understand him and had given him permission to do this, but he was afraid that he would hurt JaeJoong when he saw him with a other human. It was bad for him if he would not drink any blood soon, it could even dangerous for him, but he would carry on with it if JaeJoong wanted it, for him alone… But happily for him was this not necessary.
JaeJoong smiled at YunHo and nodded, but because he still felt a little unsure he added a few last words, “only when I’m still too weak to do it myself and only when I’m with you.” “Okay” said YunHo softly and stood slowly up, he looked critically at JaeJoong end looked then around him. “You must eat something, you need your strength if you want to get better.” JaeJoong nodded again and looked at YunHo when he prepared some food for him. YunHo brought JaeJoong a bowl soup and blew over the soup to cool it a bit. But when JaeJoong tried to eat something he felt s sick and swallowed the soup with difficulty. JaeJoong tried in his weakened state to sit up but he was to slow. YunHo could grab JaeJoong just in time to prevent that he vomited over himself but he could not prevent that the bed and the floor become dirty. YunHo ignored all the vomit on the bed and the floor, he lifted JaeJoong up in his arms and dragged him to the bathroom. He helped JaeJoong to clean himself and helped him to rinse his mouth. YunHo checked JaeJoong’s temperature but could not find out why JaeJoong was so suddenly sick. He wondered if it had something to do with his bad condition or if the soup had made him sick. Ten minutes later tried YunHo again to led JaeJoong eat something but he felt again sick, though he did not have to vomit again. YunHo was again worried, it was not a good sign that JaeJoong could not eat, YunHo decided to stay besides JaeJoong despite the fact that he was hungry and needed to eat. He watched JaeJoong and saw that JaeJoong become more and more weakened and eventually got a fever, the thing he had feared the most happened now.
YunHo decided eventually to ask the advice from a few other vampires who lived here and asked them to come over when JaeJoong was sleeping. YunHo knew JaeJoong would scare to death when he realized that he was watched by a bunch of strange vampires and hoped that JaeJoong would be asleep for at last ten minutes or even longer. He was prepared to hold JaeJoong asleep if it was necessary and he was waking up but he hoped that it was not needed, he was too tired to use much of his vampire powers. The vampires he had asked to come over to look at JaeJoong had he met during his stay in the tunnels and he knew that they had a lot experience and they would knew that to do with JaeJoong. A vampire woman he had also asked to come leaned over JaeJoong and she looked at him from close, she checked his temperature and felt on his forehead. The vampire woman frowned and exchanged a dubious glance with the other vampires who where all standing around JaeJoong. “What is it?” Asked YunHo urgently, he had seen a lot in his long life and knew from stories which dangers there were for a human partner, but to see and experience it himself was different and confusing. He had no experience with situations like those and he needed now the knowledge from the vampires who had seen more situations like those he was in.
The vampire women who had taking the lead looked calm but sad at him, knowing that she had no good news for YunHo.” You mate’s body is reacting too strong at the sunlight he was exposed to, the intensity of the sun was apparently stronger than you expected… You partner could become sicker, he would be in a lot pain and his recovery would be slowly, maybe to slow for him to bear. Unless you choose for it to turn him into a vampire, all his injuries and his pain would be healed in one instant and he would be strong and healthy. But now you must make the decision, and only you can make it, is you mate ready for it? Wanted he to be a vampire?”
