Tomorrow I start a new semester of school.  I'm taking 7 classes...yeah, just a bit nervous about that.  I'm sure everything will go better later in the semester, but it's the first 3-4 weeks I'm really worried about. So this is just some stuff that has kind of been bothering me.  The way that those three things- sex, love, and marriage- have been completely stripped of their sanctity and have, instead, been tossed around as though they mean nothing.

I am one of the four narrators...I am sooooooo excited!  I can't believe this happened to me!

For those of you who have not heard the news, my nephew has been born!  Aidan James Shiroda was born on November 29 at 9:14 pm.  He weighs 6 lbs and 13 oz.  He is 20 inches long.  Brandi had to have a c-section.  Mommy and baby are quite alright.  Mommy and Daddy couldn't possibly be happier.  If you haven't already, check out this link for some ( Read more... )

My grandma is in the hospital.  My mom and I were over at her apartment yesterday and she had extremley low blood pressure, looked very pale, and was unresponsive.  My mom drove her to the E.R. where they did tests on her.  It is still unsure of what is going on with her.  Apparently, she had an episode similar to this a week ago.  I'm just really ( Read more... )

I am now officially 18!!!  Yes!

So what have I done in my mature adulthood?  I registered to vote and wasted $2 on a lotto ticket.  I didn't win anything, but I purposely picked this ticket because all of the proceeds go to the Illinois' Veteran's Fund.  So it went to a good cause at least.

Last nite I had worship team practice.  Our worship leader, Adam, made an annoucement.  This will be his last Sunday with us.  A brand new Open Bible church is in the works in East Moline, and he really feels like that's where God's calling him there.  So now the Praise in the Park is off for our worship team.  And now we have to find another ( Read more... )

So, not too much has really gone on.  Just working.  I work Tuesdays - Fridays 8 or 9 hours a day.  I get paid only $20 a day (except for $30 Friday).  That part kinda sucks...but I don't have to drive anywhere, so I save on gas money.  Actually, it had been four weeks since I filled up...so that part's pretty sweet.
