Less than a month!!!!

Well, I have survived Thanksgiving. Depsite people canceling, other random people showing up, and a great turkey hunt, I had a great time. I did manage to find another turkey on Thursday morning, and my butcher came through for me and so in the end I had two trukeys and a pork shoulder. So I just went to the butcher's to collect my turkey, and he didn't have it. He thought  I came in and asked him to no longer get the thing although I said no such thing. I only asked him for the price! DE DOESN'T HAVE MY TURKEY!!!!!! What the hell am I going to do if he can't get one by Friday? He said he would try, but he could make no promises. ( Read more... )

I am about to pull my hair out right now. I am planning a huge thanksgiving dinner for a lot of the study abroad students here in Valencia and in Castellon, but little seems to be going right. Well, yesterday was a rather productive day, at least by Spain standards. I paid my internet bill, successfully talked to the post office guy and sent things by mail, made more porgress on the thanksgiving planning, and took my first test in Spain. So I just found heaven! It resides in an organic and healthfood store called J. Navarro in the center of Valencia. They have a whole section of gluten free foods including bread and lasagne noodles! I just got back to my apartment and had toast. TOAST!!! with jam and it was the most wonderfully yummy thing in the world ( Read more... )
