As you may or may not know I'm taking an Art History course on Modern Architecture at the moment. I have an essay due on Wednesday on Louis Kahn. If you've been watching the news lately you'll have noticed that Britain suffered from a terrorist attack. Also, they are considering ID cards (not an ad-hoc reaction, but it may strengthen their resolve to go through with it.) The British government waxes on about security and it might help with that. It allows you to find out the dirt on people who have chatted you up by just going on their first name and their area of study. I had a feeling that this version of Live Aid (Live 8, if you will) would have some negative feedback and I was sort of right; in today's Toronto Star (in France do they call their newspapers 'Etoile' and 'Soleil'?) there were a plethora of articles on the issue of African Aid and especially about how effective Live 8 really was.
