Holy crumb, is that one of the most stupidly offensive things I've ever read! You know, MORE blacks listen to rap, more women stay home and cook/clean/care for kids, than we have performance artists that are gay. Performace art? ARTISTIC ACTING. Is every artist gay? Is every actor gay? If you think so, you have a LOT more research to do before you can say anything about performance art.

How silly.

no actually it was statistically proven that the performing arts high school in my county is has more homosexuals than the other high schools. More women ARE stay at home parents than men. It's not like i said "throw all those loose-wristed freaks in the arts school" it just happens. Act like i'm prejudice because you dont know me or where i am coming from. ALSO it was slightly sarcasm, there was an all-gay high school but it was non-accredited.

My point is, not all performance artists are gay; and to call a performing arts school an all-gay school? Yeah, um, I don't have to call you prejudiced when you show the world that you are.

i agree with you 100%, we are teaching the intolerant to be more intolerant, and we are teaching homosexual students that they are different or abnormal.

I certainly agree with you that the possibilities of segregation being reborn in America can be seen in something like this. I think you have a very accurate perception of this. If anything, I would *think* that this might actually set the Gay rights movement back a bit. Because this school doesn't open the doors to acceptance of anyones life style- Just that it can be tucked away in a special place if it bothers anyone else ( ... )

I think its wrong because it segregates gay students from straight students. The idea is well-intentioned but its true results aren't good. If someone is picking on a gay person, then they should be punished for harassing them b/c harassing any person is wrong.

I think it will promote discrimination because people will subconciously assume that if ppl need a different school then they are different... it's not right but that's what will happen. Also if all ppl of different sexualities are seperated during the years when you form most of your attitudes then teenagers may become even more homophobic. How do you prove your gay is another good point, if you're confused can you go? It's a bad idea.

If its a better school than the "non-gay schools", then all someoen has to do to go there is say that they are "bi-curious". I think it will promote hate crimes too b/c anti-gay people will vandallize the place, which will cost the city more money to fix it up...

I think it is VERY immoral.

But that's my opinion...

Not to mention it almost made me throw up - USING OUR TAX PAYERS MONEY TO ENDORSE THAT?

Isn't it violating Brown vs Education anyways?!?! NOT to mention it's segregation by the gov't!

If Ohio passed the same laws, I don't think I would want my children to go there if it's going to help confuse the poor children even more especially on sexual orientation!

I was teased plenty by people because I was deaf, even stoned. I never asked my parents to go to a deaf institution. I just stuck it out instead. Why can't they?

My posting wasn't really about the morality or immorality of homosexuality, but the fact that they want a separate school for gay kids, which I think is wrong.

It probably violates Brown v. BOard of Education.

You were picked on for being deaf/ How awful. How mean. That's just wrong and below the belt. YOu think that people would have more decency than that...
