Not really written on here much the last few weeks. This is because I have been unbelievably busy.

A couple of weeks ago it was my Girlfriend's 21st, so I arranged a surprise party at our local, which went really well.

Sometimes I dont look to bad and actually scrub up quite well!

Last week was Kirsty's Grad Ball. Kirsty looked even more amazing than normal, and for once I actually looked not too bad.

While I was in Elba I managed to complete all my thesis corrections. So, after a couple of days printing out ten copies of my thesis (over 3000 pages!) I got them all bound.

So, thesis is not totally finished, probably never to be looked at again!lol

Just back from a week long workshop on the Isola d'Elba.

It was a really good meeting, with a never ending supply of espresso, white wine and as much italian food you could possibly eat.

Yesterday I had the defense of my PhD thesis. After a long 2 hour and 45 minute grilling I was told to wait outside while they discussed my interrogation.

After a very long 10 minute wait I was summoned back in and I was told I had passed.

This morning it has began to sink in that after all my years of work I am finally Dr. Pete

I'm well chuffed

I have now booked (after much fighting with the Ryanair website) Kirsty and my summer holidays to Marsielle.

Hope the weather is nice for a week of lying on the beach :-)
