How Green This Land

With my John Green binge over, I'm not sure what to read for my next audiobook. I'm not going to start something new before I go home for the holidays, but I will want something to jump into next year. Maybe Cloud Atlas will be free again.

Paper Towns, by John Green (read by Dan John Miller), might as well be called Looking for Margo, as it ( Read more... )

The only Levithan besides Will Grayson, Will Grayson that I've read is Nick and Nora's Infinite Playlist, but for what it's worth, Nick is not really like will at all. He's much more likeable.

You should read Nick & Nora's Infinite Playlist next! It's a really quick, easy read, and I'm curious what you'd think of it.

Doesn't appear to be an audiobook available at the library, but I have added it to The List!

Paper Towns left me cold as well. We used it at work for a few months, but the teens didn't really like it that much either.

One of the things I really liked about WG/wg was the initial jerkiness of will grayson. It's hard to find books for my teens that have relatable gay characters. Sometimes "kind of an asshole" is the best character trait for a YA novel. That said, Tiny is the bomb.

It's also a really good Chicago book. Distances and times are right, which almost never happens.

That's interesting! Some of my friends were really raving about that one in particular, as well as Looking for Alaska.

That's fair.

That's true.

So that math problem WAS accurate.

You and Tumblr have given me a great introduction to John Green, and I'm looking forward to my own JG binge!
