I have an infestation of kittens...
it is the cutest infestation evar!
And there shall be pictures soon, oh yes.
I'm fostering 4 kittehs for 4 days while some friends are out of town. Three are two weeks old, one is six weeks. -

Learning curves suck. I'm trying my hand at being a club president and webmaster for 2 clubs. I have NO IDEA what I'm doing. Having never created a site before, trying to update two while ensuring both look polished and professional is giving me a nervous tic. Tripping along...
I sucked it up and bought a GPS off Ebay last week. I expect it to arrive tomorrow or Thursday. So, now I need to plan an outing that requires the use of said GPS. Hrm. It has to be inexpensive, perhaps hiking? The real reason I bought the silly thing is that I still don't know this area well enough to prevent getting lost. I'll know how to ( Read more... ) -
There's a Budweiser (horse) in my cooler!
Okay, so the Bud horses are Clydesdales, and the horse today was a Shire but close enough. I swear he weighed 1600 pounds! In fact the cremation people called to complain about our sending off more than the head and heart, when in fact his head must have weighed at least 50lbs.
I'm gonna be so very sore tomorrow... -

In Memory of Beatrix
We had Beatrix (one of our ratties) put to sleep Friday evening. Monday night we noticed her eye was injured, and learned on Tuesday it had perforated and needed to be removed. After surgery she was having difficulty breathing. Beatrix was in an oxygen cage until Friday, when her condition worsened and I decided it would be best to let her go. ( Read more... ) -
To match my one-eared cat...
...it looks like I may have a one-eyed rat soon. Today Beatrix's eye is swollen, ulcerated and appears to be full of orange material. Also, the incisor on that side is causing her discomfort. I'm thinking she either cracked her tooth and part went up into her eye, she has a tooth-root abscess that's affecting the eye, or she's injured her own ( Read more... ) -
Third Year- Woot Woot!
Well, I technically have to turn in my nutrition final still (we convinced her to make it take-home) but that's not a big deal. So...
