Earlier this afternoon silverlonewolf was complaining about severe stomach pains to the point that I rushed him to the hospital, where he was diagnosed with appendicitis. He is going under the knife sometime either tomorrow morning or afternoon, not sure when. Will keep you updated as things are relayed to me. Keep us in your prayers, please

Appendectomy? Worry not! That procedure is quite common. While there is always a risk with any kind of surgery, it's comforting to know that some procedures like that one have been mastered by doctors. In fact, it's a good thing you took him when you did! When an appendix bursts, that is when there is a high risk of infection and severe complications. Silver will be fine and home very soon! *Hugs*

Seconded on this. I waited too long on mine and it did pop. They had me on heavy medication for a couple of weeks to prevent infection, but otherwise it all went well. With modern surgery techniques they don't have to make the cuts nearly as intrusive as they used to, so the recovery time isn't all that bad either.
