So next week my parents are going to Florida for a week (my dad's staying for two) and my brother will be in Italy.  I'm staying home with the dogs and working.  Boo. :(

So the roadtripper in my has started acting up.  Not sure where to go yet, but I'd like to go on a roadtrip sometime this summer.  Anyone up for going?

Do I look like a Nicole?

I've had 5 professors call me Nicole, and two of them were this week.

Found out on Monday that I got a D in one of my classes.  Was really pissed because I got As and Bs in the rest of them, and wasn't quite sure how I got it.  But I figured, "Ok, a D sucks, but it's still passing.  Yeah, it'll mess my GPA up a little, but I don't care because I'll be officially graduated after I take my summer class."

WRONG!!!!!!!!!!

There used to be a time when graduating from high school was a major accomplishment in a person's life.  Now it's just assumed that you will, and people look badly upon those people who don't.  Yeah, you still get the party and everything, but really, isn't half of it for the parents to be congratulated on raising a half-decent child ( Read more... )

Just got off the phone with my parents and Travis.  Actually, Travis just sort of got the phone passed to him, and I think that was the part of the call I enjoyed the most.  It was one of those mutual acknowledgements of "I don't want to talk to you" , and then hanging up the phone.  It was nice, because I didn't have to spend five minutes fishing ( Read more... )
