You could, however, try some of the following:-
Daughters of Elvin do medieval music with an unashamedly fantasy/celticy twist. Costume wouldn't be an issue as they frequently combine their music with masked dancing. Their website at www.daughtersofelvin.co.uk has links to the MySpace page where you can hear their music.
Heretique play hurdy-gurdy, bagpipes and accordion, and tend to focus on French folk tunes frequently hilariously spiced up for a modern ear. They normally play in modern dress, but might be prepared to don costume. You can visit their website at www.heretique.co.uk and I strongly recommend listening to 'Bouree Agence tous Risques'
