Moving house

I am currently in the process of moving towns. It really is unbelievable how much crap we accumulate that we say means something to us. How can a ticket to a concert really mean something. Is it going to erase the memory of that night if we throw out. I think we are all trying to prove to later generations that we existed. What does it matter
