I got my copy of Sword & Sorceress 23 a few days ago. It's a REAL BOOK. With ME IN IT. I still think that this is ridiculously cool. Not much else new to report--finishing up the quarter, grading papers, explaining to my students yet again that Wikipedia is not an academic source, and that you cannot write a paper using 'Michael Keaton' and 'Batman ( Read more... )

Both conferences went very well. Someone pointed out at PAMLA that, despite being the youngest presenter, I was the only one not reading (that is, gazing down at the paper and literally reading it off) while speaking, which was nice to hear.
