So my capoeira group had a Troca de Cordao this weekend. I played for my second cord, a braided green and yellow affair that really sets off my eyes. The second Mestre I played tried to take my head off, and I know why and I'm cool with what happened. So I slept in today, because I've been sick. I decided it would be best to work from home, so as not to get anyone else sick. I phoned in to the morning meeting, same old same old. I'm so fucking sick right now. Horrible painful sore throat and body pains all over. Why do I keep getting sick? I'm in reasonably good shape, I eat well, I sleep enough, etc. One theory is that it's the world's cutest disease vector that keeps bringing me presents. I guess that's the price we pay for putting her in daycare.

Or rather most of it. Ish called me and told me he was going to be late, and could I please start it for him. I taught about an hour worth of capoeira, including the warmup and some basic drills.
