Dog's triglycerides are down to ~580 (from 830-ish) on the R/D, Alk. Phos. is down as well, so it would seem he's kinda-sorta getting back to a healthy level. Weight will be the final issue. He's been to the clinic so many times in the last few weeks... First to do a CBC/Chem/T4/FT4 and a fecal, then to recheck it. Followed that up with a bile acids test when his results suggested he was lipemic... So now he's on R/D to reduce his triglycerides and whatnot, but has still been losing weight (2# in the last month or so). Found a little ( Read more... )

I give kudos to the inventor of the power drill.

It helped me gain access (again) to a kickass old mental asylum after the university resealed the hole my foot made with a 3x3 foot piece of 3/4" plywood, secured with 21 screws no less.

Took some pics, without flash, so we'll see if they come out. Will post if they do.
