Yea, I skipped the first day of classes. I really did have a good excuse, which I will lay before the instructors Monday morning as I apologize profusely for missing the classes. I never thought I would like going back to college. It's a lot of hard work. You have to write a shit-ton of papers, research this, that, or the other, and basically give yourself a case of carpal tunnel in order to learn all that you must for your degree. But you know what? Ok so I had my first day (evening) of classes...
My first evening of classes didn't exactly go smoothly, but it wasn't due to the classes I went to. The first class of the evening was the keyboarding class, and I surprised myself by already being at 60+ wpm without ever having taken a keyboarding class in my life. This week is turning out to be hectic.
For one thing, Monday I got a call from the college, in reference to the online course orientation. Supposedly, I made an appointment to come in today at 4:30 to do the first part of the orientation, which I have to have my work approved by the coordinator. So I'm Moderately Excited About College...
I'm only taking 3 classes this quarter, which begins on March 3. Those are Career Development, Keyboarding, and an online Literature class. Career Development is supposed to teach me how to interact with different types of people, as well as how to format a resume and ace an interview. Sounds like a fairly easy A. Friday, Feb. 8, was my 26th birthday. Mom's nurse had come by in the early afternoon to check on her and wanted her to go to the hospital.
