It was simple getting through this security system. God, you'd have thought that at one of L.A.'s finest museums they might beef up on security. Especially considering that the Hope Diamond was on tour here.

I pulled on my gloves after electrocuting the security system... and guards and looked up.

"Angel." I said, smirking at him, "What brings you here?"

I walk up the back stairs avoiding any most-likely tasered guards in the front and walk through the open door on the second floor. She sure leaves one hell of a paper trail. I sigh and follow the singes parts of the carpet and more downed guards to the artifact's room. And there in front of the switchboard which controls the lasers is Gwen.

"I could ask you the same question." I say as I walk up to her. "Gwen, you're not getting that artifact." I say sternly and seriously because she will not this time. This time I will find Cordelia and I will bring her back. And no electric girl will keep me from her. "Take whatever you want Gwen. Anything. Take the damn Hope Diamond but not this Gwen

"Cordelia?" I say, quirking my head. What the hell did that princess have to do with the second axis? I was hired to snag the hope diamond and the second axis. Together. Can't bring back one and not the other. Dealing with Angelcakes? Won't be so easy.

"I'm afraid I can't do that for you sugar. So you might just want to turn around and head out that door, because I don't exactly feel like getting into a tussle with you." Not to say I didn't enjoy our last 'tussle'.

But I was definitely not giving up the second axis; this was my biggest job this month and there was no way I was fucking up another job just because some vampire with a soul needed his girlfriend back.

"You clear? Get the hell out of here." I said between gritted teeth. I had no idea how this would go down. I mean, yeah I'm goddamn electric, but Angel? Not exactly the weakest vampire. But fuck me if I admit to being scared.

I stop and turn to her as she refuses to let the alarmed lasers down. "Fine, Gwen." I out on my game-face and stand firm. "We'll tussle." I stand there waiting for her to make a move. Knowing her even though she has electric 'powers' she'll still be pretty freaked out. I revert back in front of her. "Just seeing your reaction." I lunge at her into the wall and hold her neck against it.

"Who's taking the axis now?" I ask through gritted teeth. "Now. Take down those lasers." She tries to say something but can't because of my hand so I remove it for her to say it. "Yes?" She begins to say something but then resolves to kick me away and get back on her feet, gloves off and ready for a 'tussle.'

"Fine, but wouldn't it've been easier if you let me have it?" I ask as I lunge back towards her.
