I recommend carrying it around in your car for a while, if you can keep it safe and un-fried. Take shots of disturbing things you see while driving.
Also, if it has an adequate setting, high-speed shots of things moving really fast is cool. Things frying, boiling, pouring, raining, blowing, etc., look really cool in freeze frame. Only issue is having enough light.
That's a really good idea. Maybe I can get a picture of the Pussy Wagon (from Kill Bill) that I keep seeing around town.
Im not sure about the settings. Ive just been doing the auto thing so far, but I will investigate this matter tonight. I love those high speed shots too.
How was Dragon? I really fucking hate I missed it this year.
I will take some of the malls around here for ya then! Airports and England will take a while before I get a chance to get to them though XDDD OH! I know! I'll take a picture of the 7 foot tall carved jesus in this guy's yard! its kinda surreal. He has it in a class case with spot lights and everything!
I have a photobucket account just for pictures that i have scanned in. but I think i will set up a flickr account since everyone seems to like them. and that will be good since im sure ill take loads of pictures for the first while with my shiny new RED! camera.
LOL, thanks! The sad thing is: that sounds like something my father would have in his yard XD (right now he has this huge picture of Mary... with spotlights, lol)
my photobucket name is mistresszipples. I think everything is public. im not sure i just kinda upload them hahaa. there are lots of drunken pictures on there lol.
Hey, why don't you post a picture of the camera itself, or a link to its listing on its manufacturer's website or something, so we know what kind of camera we're talking about.
I agree with the suggestion of keeping it in your car if possible, since the best pictures are usually ones you stumble across. If you haven't already, go get a decent camera bag with enough extra room for a change of batteries. What kind of memory card does your camera use? If it uses an SD card and your phone also uses a micro SD, you can buy a micro SD that comes with an adaptor to fit in a full-sized SD car slot. I carry a 2GB micro SD card in my phone (which, admittedly, is way more memory than my phone could ever need) and I keep the adaptor in my camera bag. If for some reason I fill up the 1GB card in my camera, I can pull the card from my phone and use it as a back-up.
Edited the post to include a link to the camera I got. It's nothing special really, but I didn't want one that if it got broke or lost, it wouldnt be the end of the world. Im not exactly the gentlest person with my toys ya know. Plus mike has a reeeallly fucking nice, as in like photographer level nice, digi camera if we need it.
It uses a SD card. but ya know, the phone i have now, the screen is dead. my contract is up in nov so i am trying to wait it out till them and then get something like a crackberry. but i will definitely keep that whole sd slot thing in mind when i pick out a new phone now.
