by the way.. .guess what?!

i'm going to be getting a drum kit soon! don't know when exactly, or what kind, but i'm gonna teach myself to play & then me & joe are gonna rock out in our basement :D

OK...I think you should really do some homework if you want to buy a drum kit. Whatever you do dont buy any drum kit from WALMART or dept. stores and dont buy a ROYCE or UNION drumkit. Seriously, you will just be throwing your money away. I know it sucks but you wont get anything good for a new kit under 500 bucks..and probably without hardware or a snare. Best advice is to look for a used kit at a pawn shop or a music store. My advice...Peal Export kits sound awesome for the price, Grestch Birch kit is probably the best sounding kit I ever owned (even better than my $2000 DW!) and its under 700 bucks. Ludwig is making some killer starter kits...LUDWIG ACCENT, i believe is the line. Avoid Pacific Drums Maple...the Birch are ok and avoid Tama Rockstar or anything that says rock/metal...you are buying a kit with terrible edges and terrible plys of wood.

oh, and if you gotta get drumheads cause the stock heads SUCK ASS unless they are evan heads.

Joe's in charge of picking out the kit... i pick the color :D
i don't need anythingg good, i don't think. just something to fuck around with. Playing on a piece of wood with two sticks just isn't cutting it anymore.
